Another one of my favorite closing moments in film of the year. Albeit this isn't a 2022 film, I watched this in 2022 so...we're counting it. It hardly ever happens that I watch a movie and think "The RT score is too low" but the RT score for this is too low. In the now viral words of the star Olivia Cooke, the film is "Ooooh stunning".
The last 20-30 seconds manages to perfectly communicate insurmountable grief in a cinematic gut punch with the most perfect payoff for the mashocist in all of us.
