Where EXACTLY in the UK are you, Anon? Maybe if you’re in a posh part of London, you only hear it under someone’s breath. But, I can guarantee you that in certain parts of GLASGOW, it is used every other word and to describe a VARIETY of people and situations, nothing to do with women. 

From the Urban Dictionary…Definition of how Cunt is used in the vernarcular. “Used widely in the Scottish dialect to replace the word “person”, not necessarily always used in a derogatory manner. Also replaces words which end in “one”, referring to another person.Use of word Cunt (Scottish Definition):”“Where’s my lighter? Some cunt’s got it!”“Are you coming out tonight? Everycunt is going.” “How many cunts liked your Facebook status?” “Does anycunt know the time?” “He’s an alright cunt him.”

You can argue with me all you want, but thousands of Scots, including Steven Cree and Rik Rankin will tell you that “cunt” is used in Scotland exactly how it is described above. Please don’t come to my blog to try to school me, unless you yourself are fully INFORMED. Again, I’m not excusing anything, just explaining. That’s all.

Cuntgate: a case study in American ethnocentricity vs. Scottish cunty cheekiness with a side of stubbornness.

Lord. If only my biggest worry in life was how some rough around the edges driver (surprise!) used a word that anyone who has even an ounce of world knowledge knows is used differently in the UK, Australia and Ireland *side-eyeing Jess for acting outraged. MORE proof she's not really Irish* FFS it's not like Davie's the Queen of England. Unclutch those pearls. 😁

Search ANY Scottish actor except Sam (but Sam is a lowlander and posh) and the word "cunt" and you'll see how often it's used, and in many contexts. And it's not a word used to describe women pejoratively. It's used for men too. It's kind of like the word "fuck." You can use it in a variety of contexts most of them NOT meaning it's original meaning of “to have sexual intercourse.” There would be so much less drama in the world as a whole if people would take the time to look outside their front doors, and educate themselves, be fully informed, and expand their horizons. Contrary to popular belief, the U.S. is not the center of the universe, and OUR customs are not how everyone lives their lives...or speaks English. The whole Davie shitshow highlights that.
