To me the ocean is like heaven underwater

I'm always going to be homesick for a place this body can't take me. That's alright, though, because this body will take me amazing places and help me do wonderful things. I may never be able to go to the home that my heart aches for, but I can build another, and I can be happy.

I wanna go home so fucking badly :( I miss the ocean I miss the saltwater I miss the sand I miss the way the cold wind bites into you when it's winter, pulling sand up and hurling it at you. I miss the heat in summer, the way the water pulling up onto the beach is so warm but you take a few steps in and it's cold again. I miss the sound, I miss the vastness of it. I don't know if this is a real memory, if it's even from the sea, but I remember once being a few hundred metres away from shore, floating alone in cold grey water that pulled me up and down with the waves, holding on to a buoy. It was freezing and a little scary and I was quite young, just floating there and looking at the beach in front of me, and then the ocean behind me. Sometimes the line between sea and sky is so faint, you have to squint to see it, and it looks almost as if you could swim to the horizon and then up, up, up, right into the sky. I know I can't live in the water, I'm still physically human, I just want to go home.
