I ship it. (Could be romantic, could be platonic. But I doubt you say something like this while sitting on a giant balloon Pokemon by yourselves while floating into the sunset and call it platonic.)
Also, I thought of a ship name for them because according to Bulbapedia... Their ship is non-existent. Like, its not a thing. And since I may be the only one in the world who ships them together, its my job to make up a ship name.
I vote OceanCave because pearls are found in the ocean and diamonds are found in caves.
Also, if it isn’t romantic, I at least enjoy the bromance they got going on.
