Okay guys, I lost my brandnew #GoPro6 on my second dive two days ago. Since the GoPro mount for my #Ikelite housing did not arrive in time before leaving to Thailand I checked different options to take it with me along the Canon 70D. I went for a glove so the GoPro sat on the back of my right hand. Worked out for dive number one. But when I jumped in for the second dive, had my large rig handed to me and was getting ready to descend I checked my right hand and there was nothing sitting on my right hand. It was just the glove. 😮 I could not believe it! I quickly told my guide Tina and the two fellow divers what just happened. So we dove down to look for it. My mind was racing and it took me a while to calm down. About five minutes (felt like 30min to me) into the search I saw one of my fellow divers, Alex, reaching beneath a rock... and he produced a GoPro! I rushed to him, hoping that it was mine. Quickly checked the last footage... YES! It was mine! 😱🤗 Thanks to Tina and especially Alex and his buddy for taking the time and finding it!!! Every other minute of that dive I double checked the pocket of my BCD where I put the small thing. 🤣 NEVER go for that GoPro glove! Afterwards I heard that this happened before. It‘s a stupid 20€ plastic piece of garbage. Now my GoPro sits on the original GoPro Floating Handgrip (black and at the bottom, which becomes the top when floating, orange. Don‘t go for the cheap yellow ones. I had one for the Hero4 Silver which was letting water inside 🙄).
