14: if you were to live with your best friend in an old flat in a big city, what would it look like?

okay so we kind of already have an answer to this, cos dani @occupyspookyasgard​ and i lived together for a couple years, but it was just in one room, and it was v messy. i like to think that we would be better and be way less messy, but idk. it would be a hot mess prolly.

24: is there someone out there you would trust with every single one of your secrets?

oh gosh. so i’m really bad about telling people junk about myself in general and i’m really vague because i don’t like talking about my garbage, but honestly my mom would probably be my main like, “hey this shit is happening rn” and then dani, who is great and offers to come over at like gross hours to watch tv and drink even though i become hella reclusive when i feel super junky

26: what are the shoes you've had for forever and wear with every single outfit?

so i was going to include a picture, but i’m lazy and my shoes are upstairs. 

also, most of the shoes that i wear with everything (at least in the past few years) haven’t had a very long lifespan, because petting zoo life was very hard on shoes. like, we were always doing stuff and always on our feet. it was v normal for a pair of shoes to have a lifespan of a few months at most, whether because they wore out or they got really nasty. i’ve had a LOT of shoes the past few years.

anyway, there are actually two pairs of shoes that fit this description. the first is a pair of slip on converse that i actually don’t remember if they’re supposed to be grey or brown but now they’re a weird greyish brown and they’ve p much been ripped to shreds on the sides so i can’t really wear them anymore, but i’ve had them for ages.

 i also had a pair of blue converse that i owned that predated my petting zoo career that had a ton of bleach stains and were nowhere near the same color they were when i first got them but they were great with my petting zoo uniforms cos they went well with the red gingham and then also complemented the newer stars and stripes uniforms and they were a staple of my petting zoo life and everyone was amazed that i still had them and that they lived as long as they did. unfortunately (i think) i threw them away in oklahoma this summer because i had literally worn the soles, but i had a brief private funeral for them because i could wear them with literally anything.

omg this was such a long answer about shoes but i’m not like a SHOES kinda person, but i just really love converse and tennis shoes like ask dani she will tell you i have so many shoes for someone who pretends not to care about them

30: think of it: have you ever been truly scared?

okay so on the one hand, i can answer this and easily say yes because i have occasionally very crippling anxiety and just last week i started having a panic attack that i was dying because i felt really really Not Good physically. BUT i have also had a lot of near misses with situations where i totally could have actually died due to intense weather when i was with the petting zoo.

the first really scary storm was when we were in oklahoma and the petting zoo literally blew away. i can’t really describe how heavy the petting zoo is properly through text, because i don’t have like a measured weight for it, but it’s Very Heavy between the tents and the fencing, and the winds literally picked it up and twisted and bent a lot of metal stuff. you can actually read my post at the time about it here and there’s a link to the news article about the storm at the fair too.

there have been a lot of other close calls and scary weather, but the only other like Really Scary storm that i experienced was this summer when heather and i were driving back from west virginia in june and we drove through THE storm that literally washed away a bunch of towns and stuff and put the whole state into an actual like weather state of emergency. it had been our last day there and we actually closed an hour early so we could tear down and get the junk out of there. when we were driving (mind, this is in a giant dually truck while towing a nearly 40 ft long livestock trailer full of animals and equipment), it was raining so hard that visibility was like ten feet and then it was just white sheets of rain everywhere. and we were driving through a lot of windy mountains. and we were driving through the rain for like more than 12 hours and crossed through like three different states. when it was my turn to drive, i coped by blasting hamilton and singing along because holy shit it was so stressful. 

68: what's winter like where you live?

so some years (esp when we’re having a bad drought) it’s just really cold, but most of the time it’s really cold and also rains a lot and sometimes it gets really snowy where we actually live in the valley, and usually it gets really snowy in the mountains all around us. it’s a v popular area for skiing/snowboarding/snowy winter activities

69: what are your favorite board games?

okay so my family is super into games. i’ve always loved clue, but my brother has refused to play with me since i beat him all the time when we were younger, so i haven’t actually played in like over ten years. i also love cards games, like bang! is one of my most favourites, and then of course cards against humanity, and we love playing snake oil, and munchkin is always a blast, and role playing/table top games are always fun. i guess most of these aren’t actually board games but w/e i do what i want
