(I/we/you/us) Pushing my edge in so called âwild spacesâ over the years has prepared me for situations where the traverse feels chaotic and unknown, challenging our culturally imposed ideas of how our bodies should be on the land. Reminded by my hiking buddies @i.am.xena_ and @angelfangs that the land asks us to be invited and we walk with prayer and intention, not our imposition. If we impose- we might get scratched up, fall, or become lost. The land can hold us flowing through it or challenge us if we do not come with respect. Especially in Hawaiâi, it can suck you in and spit you out a mess, or carry you gracefully through squishy red mud and soft bamboo leaves, a fun jungle gym, edible fruits abound. #hiking #occupiedhawaiâi #occupiedland #walkeithintention #kauaâi #getoutside #stayoutside #barefoot photo cred: @angelfangs (at Kapaa, Hawaii) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwvM5d9hsK0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1doyz9iu36ae
