That night, as she lay in bed, Emmreth could not help but relive the night she had spent with Philip. With a sleepy but blissful grin, she thought of the fondness he had for her, the kindness he showed her, the touches he bestowed upon her. She found herself hungry for more of him but also greatly wanting to give him these things in return, to show her own fondness for him. Although, that desire had grown within her long before she had gotten in bed.
She woke up the next morning at about eight thirty to find Noir curled up in the crook of her neck. As adorable as it was and as much as she would have loved to remain in bed longer to cuddle with the kitten, she still got up to get ready for Philip’s arrival. She want to look pretty for him.
By nine thirty, she had showered and fixed her shoulder-length curls until they were, as far as she was concerned, perfect. She was dressed in a flowy, floral shirt and a pair of skinny jeans, a mix of pretty and casual. With taken care of, she was left to ponder about food. It wasn’t until then that she realized that Philip was coming at a somewhat awkward time, between breakfast and lunch. So until he arrived, she would have no idea whether he already ate sometime before he came and wasn’t going to be hungry.
She had had thoughts about surprising him with a meal, but all of the uncertainties had her hesitating and unsure what to do. In the end, after feeding Noir some wet food for breakfast, she decided to wait until he arrived, but she went ahead and plugged in her coffee maker and began to brew some coffee. (She wasn’t a fan of coffee but was assuming Philip was because most people seemed to be. And luckily, her parents had given her some coffee and a coffee maker for whenever her family came to visit of for any other occasion that came up she would need it.)
While the coffee brewed, she settled in front of the television and waited...
