VERY old project. But because I used it in EMHM I want to show it off. The last place I lived I had to completely re-do the entire floor. Like it was stripped down to plywood texture for the entire square footage. So I chose to use these thicker linoleum tiles.
Which turned out to be a mistake because while Lowes will happily sell you the tiles; they will NOT sell you the waxing material to seal them or a buffing machine to clean/finish them. Those things can only be gotten if you are buying them for a business in bulk. It is only for janitors in schools, hospitals, grocery stores ect. Fuck you guys, seriously. But I cut them with a small jigsaw and glued them down one at a time. Black tiles in the covered porch, white in the bathroom, checkerboard in the main room/kitchen and these pretty purple tiles in the bedroom. The whole area was notoriously haunted and it was strongly felt under the house and in the attic. But I never had any problems in the bedroom. In fact my partner and my ex had both seen a shadow person standing in the open doorway before as though it could not enter the bedroom. There was also a ghost cat, but we were pretty sure it was one of my own previous cats and was usually seen in the kitchen or the bathroom anyway. But if you're doing remodeling, I would recommend the technique. If nothing you'll freak out anyone who comes after you and tears it up later. :)
