3. How does your OC feel about public displays of affection? Are they intensely private, with not even a furtive glance between them and their significant other when out in the world? Or would they be entirely unable to keep their hands off their beloved, even with a full audience?
vesper isn't private at all and eats up any and all public displays of affection, even to the point of having a bit of an exhibitionist streak. ik the common consensus is that marazhai isn't big on PDA, maybe it's just bc his sub route is the most popular bc dom mara actually goes pretty hard with it imho (that one scene where he's stroking the rt's face and then slides his hand down to their throat while everyone on the bridge is looking on in terror lives in my head rent free. let alone the way he talks to/about them in public) but i digress. neither of them can keep their hands off one another and the fact that their relationship makes everyone around them sick to their stomach is a bonus; marazhai just loves making people uncomfortable and vesper thinks it's an excellent way to remind their subjects that they can do whatever the hell they want
4. Has your OC ever been separated from someone they love for an extended period? How did this affect their relationship? What (if anything) did they do to keep their connection alive during this time?
ohhhh vesper was an absolute wreck when mara went back to commorragh at the end of the game. just miserable. of course they visited each other as much as they could, but that was NOT cutting it for such an intense relationship. neither of them were happy, and if they both kept their titles then they would always be too busy for each other. idk who broached the subject first, but eventually they agreed that vesper would live w mara, which led to them just...... walking away from their responsibilities to go be a full-time pet a few months post-game LMAOOO. poor abelard having to scrounge up another von valancius heir when the previous lord captain didn't even put in their two weeks notice before leaving
14. Does your OC enjoy it when others are obviously attracted to their lover or spouse? Perhaps they take pride in having a beautiful partner – or perhaps they find the situation somewhat exciting? Or are they ferociously jealous and possessive of their beloved at all times?
on one hand it does make vesper proud. he is very pretty and (in commorragh) very high up the social ladder, after all. his attention would be a hot commodity, and watching him turn away potential playmates in order to lavish all of it on them instead definitely strokes their ego
on the other hand they're possessive to an absolutely insane degree and marazhai loves to bring out that side of them on occasion. if they're in a social setting (w other drukhari especially) then vesper is hanging off his arm and glaring daggers at anyone who looks at him for more than 0.5 seconds. it takes all of their self-control not to start stabbing and sometimes, if marazhai provokes them by feigning interest in someone else, they do start stabbing, much to his delight
vesper is endlessly grateful that the possessiveness goes both ways bc it makes them feel more secure in their relationship and reassures them that marazhai's flirting w others is nothing more than a game between the two of them, and whoever he's pretending to be interested in is a complete nonentity
