#oc: devi

I'm no artist, but I'm super proud of how my little Devi cat butler came out! Thank you to GlamrrChica on twitter so much for the base, I def couldn't have done this without it!

Which is Devi Shatterbird (her name is pronounced like the start of Devious) - tiefling GOO warlock.

Devi is massively apathetic and primarely motivated by her hunger for knowledge. She collects books, wants to build her own library which would then not allow anyone to borrow from it, and has a thing for forbidden knowledge in particular. Her secondary motivation is money (so she can get more books and thus more knowledge). Her tetiary motivation is loyalty to the few she does care for. She is kinda mean, but in a very idgaf way.

Her pact is with a great old one who has her as its primary connection to the world - she talks to it at times, their relationship is rather friendly, and it feeds her thirst for knowledge in exchange for interracting with the world for it. Her deal with it was for knowledge, after finding a ritual in an old tome that could contact it.

Devi

Can tie a knot in a cherry stem with her tongue

Knows the Law & Order intro by heart

Can hear colors

Can’t draw worth a damn (which makes for amusement around Skyhold when she tries to draw suspicious people seen on the road)

Has never lost a game of chess against anyone (including Cullen) - except for Samson, because she kept getting nervous and knocking the pieces over

Really doesn’t know her own strength, and has a nasty habit of jostling people too hard when she’s excited

Adopts a Great Bear cub from the Hinterlands and names him Mr. Peanut Butter

Charlie is her first real friend (in her world and Thedas) 

Her favorite band is The Cure

Pretends not to be able to do things (or does them poorly) so no one trusts her with things she doesn’t want to do

Yoko

Can cry on command (but usually cries for real because she’s actually a big baby)

Has the habit of being overtly-familiar with people (adding diminutives to their names after only a few meetings, very touchy, etc.)

Her freckles are actually supposed to mirror sun spot clusters

 Despite the fact that her quirk involves absorbing sunlight, her hands are always cold (unless she makes them warm)

She doesn’t sleep when she’s home by herself 

Her favorite food is ice cream (especially sundaes) 

Can’t dance, but really, really likes to 

Her parent considered changing his hero name (Suneater) because he didn’t want to frighten his sunshine 

Her Hero name (Lightning Bug) comes from a name passed down from a teasing upperclassman (eye emoji)
