belated fat baby spock friday, woops! I used the VLD to find the words for family members (sorry for any mistakes!)
little peanutisms
thinking about in The Final Frontier when Sybok dies and Jim is trying to comfort Spock about it and he's like "I know what it's like to lose a brother, I lost you...." and it's like yeah sure but you did also lose your actual brother. Sam Kirk is dead. He's not alive anymore. Your big brother Sam Kirk and his wife Aurelan Kirk are not alive anymore. You were there. Stop being gay and remember your brother idiot.
Props to McCoy because If I were in his shoes Iâd lose my shit more often.
Heâs an old country doctor from Georgia who thinks he knows his boyfriends, because after years of closeness and bonding, itâs completely normal to think you know the guys you work, eat, sleep, with pretty well.
So what do you think crossed his mind when he found out that:
Bf 1) is the survivor of a massacre and didnât bother to tell them he went through severe trauma and starvation until the brutal dictator that caused it BOARDED THE ENTERPRISE, AND NOT EVEN THEN.
Bf 2) is someone who didnât even hint at the fact that he had a half-brother for DECADES after they met each other, and only mentioned it because he was out of control. Canonically heâs never mentioned his sister, I think. His parents were already literally aboard the ship and didnât think to mention it until he was explicitly asked.
Honestly I would be wondering why tf I still bother to ask questions, itâs not like theyâre going to give a meaningful answer. Heâs dating the two most nonchalant secretive assholes EVER. (Dammit, Jim, Iâm a doctor, not a mind-reader)
Iâd think about violence too often. (And ofc he wants to wrap them up in a blanket cause they deserve all the warmth and care and love in the world)â- But God, are they annoying.

and theyâre all autistic
Concept: Vulcans live into their 200's. Humans live to 90-ish. Humans have to introduce their children to the concept of death WAY BEFORE vulcans do. This creates a miscommunication when Amanda turns on The Lion King and Mufasa dies horribly on screen.
This horrified Sarek (logically). Michael has seen it before. Spock and Sybok both just encountered the concept of death for the first time. They are crying. Amanda assures Sarek this is normal. He doesn't think so.
Whoâs your favorite Vulcan (other than Spock)?
