#oc smells

Andras (not an OC but might as well be): cherry blossoms, rosewood, and petrichore. He's a spring boy, through and through.

Philoméne: freshly-mown hay, a pine forest at noon, and ripe blackberries. The essence of late summer and early autumn.

Selene (RIP): melting snow, datura (aka, moonflower), and crushed rose petals.

My Vanbros:

Damien: sage and fog and roasted hazelnuts.

Bran: myrrh smoke, very faint vanilla, and crushed leaves. It's shockingly restrained given the rumors that swirl around about him.

Dearest @fadetouchedlurker thoughtfully tagged me and HAS ACTUALLY MADE THE PERFUMES FOR THEIR OCS. Which is, quite honestly, mindblowing.

Also @redaresss, whose lovely Ulrike doesn't have a sense of smell.

I'll sit my sad self right here and play pretend! Or, actually... Ducky makes scents... maybeeeeeee if I ask her to... Hmm. Excuse me while I make "a call".

A while ago I was writing something for Lavellan and Solas, going on my happy, tortured writer way, when I wrote myself into a corner. What in the hell did Lavellan SMELL like.

I paced, I tried to imagine, but ultimately I went on an adventure. It was a whole ass thing: [Part One] [Part Two] [Part Three] [Part Four]

Since then, my collection of OCs has grown, but I always make an effort to puzzle out what they smell like. You aren't going to catch me slipping again, muses!

The newest addtion? I didn't even have to play around with ideas.

Sive = PINEAPPLES.

[Fact - Me, myself, and Amoa prefers light scents. Fruity. No heavy perfumes. No flowers. I'll get a headache. If I could walk around smelling like a freshly peeled orange at all times, I absolutely WOULD. No additional scents needed. I want the fruit to domniate.] So, Sive smells like this scent I snagged from that one smell store: Pink Pineapple Sunrise. /laughs

Noara Starspark, Jedi Knight 

Noara smells like a mixture of her body wash (usually the vormur blossom scented one because it is her favorite), fresh linens and coffee - at least when she has access to a shower and can wash up. In the field she is more likely to smell of mud and sweat - as much as she likes to be clean Noara isn’t afraid to get dirty.

Tuathal “Tully” Techtmar, Sith Warrior

Unlike Noara, Tully hates being dirty. He showers more than once a day, and after getting sweaty (unless one of his naked lovers or his wife are there to snuggle with, that’s the only time he isn’t itching to shower asap). His clothing is always freshly laundered. He often smells of hints of clove and citrus, from his body wash, tea and the various massage oils he keeps on hand for when he wants to spoil his wife or either of his boyfriends. 

Dubaku Eze, Bounty Hunter

Leather, blaster oil, sweat and beer. Those are the usual scents of Dubaku Eze. When he can shower and be fresh it’s better, spicy musky aftershave and minty fresh toothpaste but if he has work, or almost any plans, it doesnt last long. Dubaku works hard and plays harder, and smells like he does.

I was re-tagged by @kunoichi-ume​ especially for Ma’at, (with a follow-up tag from @swtorpadawan​) so I’m going to do Kadu as well and demand that Ume answer this for Jurr.

According to Tully, Ma’at smells of warm cinnamon and purity. She’s from an aristocratic family, so naturally cleanliness is a priority, and she loves burning incense while she meditates, drinking heady teas, and eating fragrant foods with plenty of spice. While not as picky about her grooming habits as Tully, Ma’at enjoys a nice soak in bath oils, and she lives for Tuathal’s specialty massages, especially when she’s pregnant. 

Noella has a light floral scent. She smells like sweet apple blossoms. Probably the result of both her shampoo and also proximity to the numerous pots of flowers she grows at home. If you're sitting near her, you can sometimes get a whiff of it. 

Emily usually smells like her perfume, which is a citrus-scented perfume. It smells light, summer-y and refreshing. You can smell it if you're standing really close to her -- she doesn't put a lot. Without her perfume, though, she doesn't have much of a scent, she just smells clean, with a vague hint of floral from her shampoo or body soap. 

Nova also usually smells like her perfume, which is a woodsy perfume that makes her smell earthy, warm, and sensual. She uses even less perfume than Emily and you have to be really close to her to smell it, like if you're hugging her. Without her perfume, she smells clean and slightly musky-sweet. 

Jacob smells clean and mild, like freshly laundered clothes. He usually smells like the fabric softener and washing powder used for his clothes rather than any other smell. 

Haha oh my! Lots of OCs to go through! I separated my canon OCs from my minor OCs. For 24: What does your OC smell like? (I ended up leaving a few out because their smells are alluding me lol)

Saige Trevelyan

Saige smells like leather, cinnamon, and chocolate. :3

Elissa Cousland

Liss smells like honey, apples, and a meadow of freshly cut grass. (This is one of my favorite smell combinations)

Solona Amell

Solona smells like a mix of elfroot, lavender, and the air after a lightning storm. (I can imagine this smell and I love it. Cullen is so fucking lucky.)

Meghan Hawke

Meghan smells like the sea, lemongrass, and rum. (my love)

Katrien Surana

Katrien smells like gingerbread, old books, and chocolate.

Amber Shepard

Amber smells of gunpowder, vanilla, and strawberries. (strange combo but the gunpowder was a must)

Queen Katja Cousland- Theirin

Katja smells of roses, vanilla, and peaches. (And Ali loves it) <3

Tevis smells of ash, toasted almonds, and cherries.

Leila Tabris

Leila smells of leather, jasmine, and honey.

Malik Amell

Malik smells of ginger, hazelnut, and caramel. <3

Regarding smells, I have an idea of what Nolan smells like.

He smells warm and earthy with musky-sweet undertones. Sometimes the muskiness overpowers the pleasantness because SOMEONE doesn't bathe nearly as often as he should. His hair smells vaguely grassy and flowery; both a combination of shampoo and his dandelion.

Day has a mild and clean scent; smelling like freshly laundered clothes and fabric softener. Being a guy, he has a slight musky smell but because he practices good personal hygiene, he mostly smells clean and pleasant. You'd need to be in his personal space to detect his musk, or if he's sweating. It's not unpleasant though. His hair smells slightly sweet because of the shampoo is he uses.

At the moment, I'm not sure what Zion smells like because he's a very private character and I don't intend to encroach his personal space. He is a stickler for good hygiene, so he tends to smell very clean and fresh. He occasionally smells of disinfectant or cleaning fluids and sometimes ink. I don't even know what ink smells like. I'll try to see if I can sneak around Zion to figure out what he smells like haha.

Zion smells earthy and woody, faintly of sandalwood; rich, somewhat creamy, slightly sweet and with a hint of spice.

Moel smells like dog (sometimes overpoweringly so) and of warm oranges and tangerines.left out in the sun to dry. He also smells faintly of quilt (cotton), with a warm, almost nostalgic vibe to it (imagine your favorite blanket).

Wendie is too new for me to know what she smells like.
