curled up with a little teddy bear, under a nice warm blanket, with his cat next to him, night light on, with the window open. helps him feel safe - he is so very scared of the dark when he's trying to sleep.

the whole incident with his jaw - it plays in his mind so often and he keeps telling himself he deserved it!!! which he absolutely didn't, but refuses to accept otherwise - he must have done SOMETHING for it to happen. people can't just act out like that for no reason, right??? plus he refused the help, it never quite healed properly so there's an almost constant little ache. doesn't bother him much anymore, he can very easily ignore it. he doesn't Want the help or the comfort of it being fixed [which he does end up doing!! btw. #growth] because he feels like he deserves it, so why should he ever let it heal??? he can't atone for it if it doesnt hurt
what kind of drunk are they ?
seb is a very clumsy drunk, very out of it. he's a big guy so it takes a long time for him to get drunk - he has to have every intention of getting blackout drunk for that to happen, which is not good!!! it's a not good very bad sign when he's drunk because you know he's hit rock bottom. sure he gets a little tipsy and he can be a little sillaayyyy about it but don't ever ever Everrrrr let it get any further than that. give him some weed and set him down with one of these and he'll be entertained for the whole evening
he craves touch so bad. he needs it like air. it's his life force. touch is so grounding and comforting - it's such a relief. it makes all his worries fade away, even if just for a moment. it's so calming, and he'd do anything just to be held by someone forever. but christ he can't tell anyone that. he can't. he's not allowed to be vulnerable!!!
what is a fear they never talk about ?
ohhhh he's so scared of people finding out he's useless, worthless, good for nothing. he is terrified of someone seeing him in a time of weakness and thinking he's incapable or not good enough, or that he's just been faking it the whole time. he doesn't want to be found out. he's not even hiding anything, but he just can't let anyone find out the truth either. but what's the truth?? seb doesn't even know what it is.

all the regrets he has from before he died - not loving his family enough, not appreciating his friends, all the things he had, the food he ate, the roof over his head. not putting in any effort into anything. being such a miserable person who brought everyone down with him because that was the only way he could feel good about himself, by making everyone more miserable than him - didn't matter who they were, what they'd done. he didn't care how anyone else felt. he wouldn't listen. and now he's forced to live with that knowledge every day, that he wasted his first chance at life being an irredeemable raging cunt of a man. and he can't get over that. he never will. he can't forgive himself for it and that's what's constantly tearing him apart every single day.
who do they search for ?
his family, those who considered him to be a friend. they're all older now, they've moved on, they don't miss him - probably never did, were probably relieved he died. that's what he tells himself, anyway, as if it'll make him feel better. looking for whoever saw fit to give him a second chance, looking for a new place in a world that moved on without him, and doesn't have a place for him. trying and failing at every corner and every hurdle. maybe he's damned for all eternity to find something that'll make him belong. is he gonna find that? who knows!

but i can also provide another answer actually - he's well aware he's done wrong. he knows he shouldn't have done what he did. but he's constantly telling himself there was a reason for it, when he knows full well there wasn't, as far as he knows. there wasn't a reason for him to be the way he was!!! and he doesn't want to accept that he was just capable of being such a rancid person with literally no motive.

GOOD QUESTION!! alex would've felt safest when he was dead and buried - nothing to bother him, nothing to commit to. just him and himself and absolutely Nothing. and it was nice! it was the first time in a long time he was free. and then he just had to come back and is constantly at risk of being dragged back under at literally any given moment. so. !!!! really nothing safer for an ex corpse like a cold pile of dirt to crawl under.

this is gonna sound so funny but. being nice to him. treating him with kindness. because it's always So unexpected and he KNOWS he doesn't deserve it so literally what is the point of anyone even trying to respect him anyway. not that anyone else knows that, which is why they're being nice. and he can't exactly stop anyone either. even if he Is being a raging cunt about it. the niceness makes him even More of a raging cunt so it's really just an unending cycle until he realises that maybe he should learn to accept that people are just. nice. a lot of the time.

alex is a closed off recluse who doesn't have many stories to tell if any at all. but there'd be one story told About him - that's treated more like a local urban legend than anything, of a boy who drowned in the lake, and crawls out of his grave once every few years to drag one unlucky victim to the bottom of the lake to experience the same fate he did. he's heard the story, and it's objectively not true he doesn't drag people down there. he's crawled out of the grave like, one time. and that was difficult enough already with all the dirt on top of him. whoever shoved him in that grave packed him in a little too well and he doesn't wanna have to do that again. there's still dirt under his nails.

that he does in fact deserve to be loved, and deserves to be saved. in what way that is, he couldn't tell you. he's been given a second chance at things - albeit with entirely too many rules and regulations surrounding it, and the ever-present risk of just kindaa vanishing again - and no one gets a chance like this. so he may as well take it. but he's spent so long fighting against it, that he's too stubborn to stop now and literally almost nothing will ever convince him otherwise.
how do they laugh ?
Alex Doesn't Laugh. well. he didnt laugh very much as a teen/young adult. he was so insanely shut off from every emotion that he didn't even allow himself to laugh [too cool for it or something. don't even worry about it] so now whenever something sort of amusing does happen, his laugh is like. how do i describe it. weak? it's more like the little breath you do out of your nose when something is sort of funny but not That Funny, accompanied by a little smile. that's thee most you will manage to get out of him. even if something is hilarious. the next step up from that would be laughing without any sound at all but Vibrating so much. that's the only way you'd know he's experiencing anything at all.

when did they feel the safest ?
seb always felt safest in his van, on the crusty old mattress on the floor, with pillows so flat and thin they may as well have been made out of paper. that was all His. that was his home for so many years. the single most important thing he owned. that was the only place he could to be by himself and just. exist. without the pressure of literally anything weighing down on him. he absolutely despised it sometimes, but he wouldn't have changed it for anything - still sometimes dreams about just leaving everything behind and starting from scratch again somewhere new, in the same old van.

if you call him useless, or even just imply it, he's gone. he's exploded and you are also probably about to die. the last thing he wants is to think he's not needed, and the concept of that alone is enough to throw him off the deep end. same goes for if you put any of his loved ones in danger - you are also most definitely about to die before you even know what happened. he's so insanely protective of the ones he loves - mostly in the sense that he'd put his life on the line at any given moment to keep them safe. if you've upset him you are absolutely going to hear about it and you should also probably maybe absolutely start running

it's a sweet story of when he and his siblings were kids, stealing from the local bakery and running home before they got caught. it was so fun, happiest he'd been in a long time, and that food was gonna keep them fed for a good while. got so much he even shared it with a kid he passed on the street.
then there's another story of how, when he was younger, he broke up a fight started by some bullies targetting an innocent kid, who he then walked home to make sure he got home safe [: got a nice shirt in return for the help, and he wore that thing almost every single day until it was nothing but threads.
later on he found out that both stories were about the same guy, who he also ended up marrying [well after they both spent almost a year trying to kill each other!!! by the way!!!]

that he doesn't need to feel guilty about surviving, which is a good chunk of the reason why he's so reckless. he needs to stop letting it be such a driving force in his life, and to stop letting it shape his whole personality. it's such a big part of who he is, he's too scared to try and imagine who he'd be without it, what he'd be without it, and he doesn't want to risk it, at all ever if possible.
how do they laugh ?
with his whole chest. his whole everything. he laughs so loud, snorts, giggles, scrunches up his face, cries, everything. it's such a sweet and infectious laugh, not something you'd ever expect from seb looking the way he does. and it's never forced, it's so genuine - once you hear it for the first time you'll want to keep making him laugh again and again until the end of time. it's nice seeing him experiencing joy every once in a while!!!
it's like something stuck in the back of his throat clawing and screaming and begging to get out, but he can't make a sound. it's like his brain is on fire and he's not in control of himself anymore. it causes so much discomfort, so much pain in his chest and there's nothing he can do about it!! he's constantly guilty over so much - abandoning his family, not being able to save the people he loves, killing so many innocent people against his will. but moreso than anything else, he feels guilty about surviving. he doesn't know how it happened, or why. it just simply shouldn't have happened. and that sticks with him!! it sticks with him like nothing else. and it hurts so bad. he has to drag that weight with him everywhere he goes. but god forbid he tells anyone about it that's scary and then he'd feel guilty about making them sad. #neverendingcycleofguiltandgrief

huuuge scar that goes across most of his neck, quite deep, looks almost like the skin sewed itself back together. it's one of the few visible scars he has from the time he got uhh lets see. torn apart and smashed back together a near infinite amount of times within a matter of seconds, if that. and alex remembers every bit of it, the insane unimaginable amount of pain. all of it's stuck with him - but he also couldn't ever put it into words because the concept is just so. cosmically insane it's not even possible to describe. it's like a cognito hazard the second you know the details of it your brain explodes or something. all of that from falling into a lake and drowning.
oh and he has a scar on his nose from when he ran face first into a kitchen island as a kid. also doesn't talk about that one because it's embarrassing.

he's got a lot of scarring around his jaw + mouth + left cheek from some uhhh. very severe injuries he got at his old job!! they're very noticable, deep set, and are emphasised by the black/silver cyberware he has lining his jaw and neck, where there's further scarring. and on top of all that, thanks to the same injuries, he now has a cybernetic slightly robotic tone to his voice. everthing was very much completely and utterly fucked beyond repair basically :D
there's entirely too much lore to go into to explain the events leading up to the injuries but essentially. his boss ?? yeah sure his boss [andrew. stick man. very short in comparison to seb, who is almost 7ft tall and also a brick. by the way] went beast mode and beat him within an inch of his life. so. !!! yeah not really something he wants to talk about or think about ever again but he is also reminded of it almost every time he looks at himself in the mirror. heart <3
not to sound cliche but he would honestly love nothing more than to just sit and relax,,,,, and have a nice dinner later on,,, not going out to eat at some place fancy, something more along the lines of a local diner that he'd go to a lot but this time it's Special!!! because it's his BIRTHDAY!!! and honestly going anywhere with his husband is always very special [:

to answer some of the other questions, what he looks for in a friend/partner. both exactly the same really. the most important thing is that he can trust them. and he is not a very trusting person, wouldn't open up for just anybody. so if you manage to pass that check, you've hit the jackpot basically. he needs someone who will be honest!!!!! who he can let his guard down around without any negative consequences. he can safely exist around you without you stabbing him in the back in every possible sense.
