I kinda messed up LAN’s outline because I was using a purple liner but then it dried for some reason (maybe because of the mod podge (which I let dry but still for some reason)) but whatever I was too impatient to find a way for it to work again

I gotta say my absolute favorite whumper type of all time is a self righteous whumper. Idk I like seeing these guys try to justify their crimes against humanity. I like it when they convince the whumpee that they deserve everything that happened to them. I like it when they believe wholeheartedly that they can do no wrong (or at least, their actions are totally justified) and whumpee? Whumpee has done everything wrong. And they will pay for that :)

Lan!!! She’s the whumper in this little drabble a write a while ago <2 She belongs to one of my favorite categories of character: woman with depression! I think I’ve put her through too much stuff. She needs a break tbh

Lan used to be really happy actually! She had 3 close friends, their names were Grace, Declan, and Amir, and they formed a kinda hero group where they all stopped villains together. (Lan fights with a sword I should mention that, swords are cool)

Though, they did kill the villains at the end of the fight. They viewed it as the right thing to do, though.

Anyways, this little hero group caught the attention of a certain rookie villain. Zachary Chang, also known as the Rabbit :)

Zach kidnapped Declan and ended up murdering him and Grace and Amir. And that totally destroyed Lan. I mean that would probably destroy anyone, watching all your friends die one by one.

So now Lan is incredibly depressed, and also very, very angry. Angry at herself for not being able to save her friends in the end, but mostly very angry at the person who killed all of them.

She had a final battle with Zach, ended up winning, and she was going to kill him up until the point she learned that he actually kind of wanted that.

So she changed her approach. Zach’s kinda trapped in this cell in an abandoned prison, and whenever Lan feels especially angry she goes to take it out on him. It gives her a sense of vindication. Knowing that the man who made her and her friends suffer so much is suffering in turn.

And in her opinion she’s not that bad. She gives him food and water, so he isn’t starving or anything. And she always patches up his injuries afterwards, even if the only thing he deserves is to bleed out in misery.
