#oc flavour

This one's a bit less clear since I was just sketching while doing work a few months back lol.

But the left are more old designs for Dyrad and the right is an old design for Carn. I like the ghost and goopy vibes of this dyrad so I might re-use the look for something else. Girl in the middle isn't important.

Been practicing with some redesigns for Dyrad. Want to make her look more for like a fly instead of mushroom like.

Also might remove the mushroom aspect so I'll have to change her name too.

So far I've got 'Maggy' for Maggot, but I already have an oc with Mag as a draft name so that might get confusing in my notes.

Anyway lore drop for fun.

The bunny boy on the left is Carn (named after Carnation flowers), and the fly kid with him is Dyrad (named after Dryad mushrooms).

I'm still trying to figure out designs for these two along with what artstyle I want for their story, so these are temporary designs for now.

The two are cousins, both by coincidence born on the same day. Neither of them knew of eachother's existence until Carn's mother introduced the two of them after taking custody of them (Dyrad's last guardian isn't dead, just caught up in something that made them unable to care for Dyrad for some time).

Carn is part of a high status family, which although Dyrad is now a part of they didn’t grow up into, so they behave more strange and reckless. They're also not really accepted even with a blood match, considering none of the family knows WHO Dyrad is actually related to in their family, and how far back the line went for Dyrad to look nothing like them.

The two of them work together to sneak away to solve mysterious regarding their family and ancestors, and where Dyrad's link comes in. As well as trying to find a cure for a curse that's been on the family for centuries, and has recently impacted Carn the week leading up to his 13th birthday.
