#oc bailey

this is my oc Bailey, though, as you may be able to tell from her outfit, this is younger bailey, when she was still new to adventuring. Bailey would have been around 20 when this accident happened.

On one of her first quests, she and her group got trapped in a burning building, and she helped get everyone out before the beams collapsed, everyone that is, except for herself. Bailey got pinned under one of the beams, and the rest of her group had to pull her out. Bailey broke her ankle, and was unable to walk on it, but the major damage was the burns up her legs. It took 2 years for her to be able to move like she used to, and for the first 8 months after the fire she was unable to walk at all.

A key thing about this drawing is Bailey's outfit. I made it more similar to her outfit she would wear as a child, to link this to her younger years, and to further contrast her current outfit. After the accident bailey never wore shorts again, and instead wears thick leggings, as well as thick leg coverings, so that an accident cannot happen again.

Bailey still struggles to be around fire, even 7 years later, and if she ever gets to close, she simply stops. By this i mean she starts to disassociate and is unable to recognise her surroundings, going back to the day that she was trapped in that house.
