I never knew Staraptor sing.
One had nested near camp in the Obsidian Fields. Everyone mostly ignored it, since it was more focused on building a nest than raiding the camp.
But just before sunrise, I heard it. It was a soft murmur with quiet trills. Later that day, its eggs hatched. I wonder if it was letting its chicks know its voice before they saw the world for the first time.
