While the #Obanzai fare (home-styled cooking native to Kyoto) at @Rockon_Tokyo, a cozy hole-in-the-wall by famed sake sommelier Koki Miyoshi and head chef Sekiya Katsuyuki, is exceeding comforting and scrumptious, it is their spin on the humble ‘tamago kake gohan’ that undoubtedly steals the thunder. 🍚🥚 Their Rock On! Tokyo Treasure Box sees the simplest of Japanese comfort food (raw egg on rice) arriving with much drama as yolk on fluffy egg white meringue, torched table side, and topped with fresh white truffle shavings. The truffle arriving to the table in its own Louis Vuitton trunk🧳, no less.
