In the land of eternal Spring, Lark would go walking along the long sprawled-out paths of the Ares Estate. It wasnât often she could meander down the beaten paths without the accompaniment of her Princely charge, and when she found time to do so, she would seize the opportunity to enjoy the solitude so desperately craved.Â
Though it was naturally Spring year round, it had been a chilly morning and Lark pulled her cloak around her shoulders. If only she could stay lost amid the copse; but a small respite would have to be enough.Â
She moved down the path, and each footfall was quiet and purposeful. Whatever the dayâs agenda would bring, she would be ready for it. While expecting a nice and tranquil walk among the trees, she would be surprised to see a flash of darkness catch her eye off the trail. Shifting her attention to it, she squinted and peered in the distance. A person?Â
Frowning, she stepped off the path and into the forest. She drew near to the stranger with a cautious stance, her hand resting idly on the hilt of her rapier.Â
â Excuse me...â she began. â Are you lost?âÂ
