Symmetra-second Widowmaker?
Pretty isn’t she-well actually I don’t care-that is not what I’m here for.
Now-here is a picture of when she was young:
Notice anything different?
Considering her model in game has a definite colour palette, there is not much that can change aside from lighting.
A drawing however can-so this may simply be due to artistic freedom but:
The screen shows the colour picker tool being used around the her Iris.
Checked the image against another one and the art book-they all appear to be brown with a reflective yellow spec.
This is a picture of widowmaker:
Again-pretty right?-more importantly golden yellow eyes.
In this picture, there is brown around Widows (Amelie?-something) eyes. However you can see there is also an easily visible smidge of gold in them. Considering it’s hours before she fully became widow in this pic-she’s probably on the very last cusp of transformation.
Now remember, Amelie was heavily checked out by doctors on being returned and they found nothing wrong with her.
The only one we know who is close to Satya is Sanjay.
And whoops! we caught him sitting on the edge of the talon council table.
So no one knows there is anything wrong with her having bright gold eyes.
And he’s sitting right next to Moira. Who appears to have ‘something’ to do with Widowmaker’s transformation if their voice interactions are worth anything.
And we know from Symmetra’s Oasis interaction-Vishkar would love a facility within the city. So who’s to say Moira needs a new test subject, and in return slips Sanjay the 'keys to the city’. Not to mention-with all the transport problems oasis has-would teleporters not be so much easier? Perhaps the minister of Transport might have an 'accident’ and need to be replaced.
So maybe/ Maybe not-maybe I’m reading too deep into it-but I’ve seen a couple of Tumblr users begin to notice the eye thing.
So, next time you see a new Symmetra comic or skin that depicts her in a younger age-look into the iris.
