you ever think about how it’s very possible noel or liam would’ve walked into each others room or rehearsals smelling like sweat and sex. and the other brother would just have to sit there. if you’re not related you could pass it off as a haha nice dude you just got laid! type of thing. but its probably not an image you want of your sibling

putting the fiction in real person fiction. my gcest childhood exposition fic would start out with noel as an affectionate if unnecessarily moody older brother who liked hugging and sniffing the fuck out of little Liam who would learn to do the same things when he was happy as they got older. you know he purposefully would ask liam to do things that were impossible for him or dare him to do stupid shit and then pavlov him afterwards probably not even realizing it. go steal a candybar for me. lets share it. then liams around 15 years old and growing into his awkward growth spurt, the hugs and affection feel a bit too electric and Noel feels suffocated by him. suddenly it’s hard to be in the same room as him without snapping or fighting because of some restless energy he can’t explain. Only satiated by the weird satisfaction out of making Liam visibly as upset as he feels inside. Becomes inspirals roadie -> they call often -> liam gets inspired to try doing the band shit himself -> noel sees him preform at 18/19 and the confusion of his feelings reaches an all time high. he feels disgusted at the concept of liam causing him to feel this way so it’s seven days a week i own you to control the complicated guilt for something he didn’t do with that kind of intention (and now the innocent childhood memories he once had are all weird and irregular). and liam doesn’t know what he’s done to make noel change but he knows that it was him and maybe he can coax the old noel out with a couple of onstage gropes and kisses. and as long they keep eachother in their periphery they’ll actually be able to tell when one of them has changed again
