It’s hard to watch you be let down, it was even harder to see it twice. When you compare your beginning to another persons middle, its easy to think youre just not good enough. The fact was you just that you weren’t good enough yet. That same week you were lying on the floor crying and blaming your body for being too slow, crumpled up and surrendering to your dream. No one spoke of it for weeks. Everyone was sympathetic, which probably made it worse. Then one day, it was all on-Three words, three sparkly letters and a single goal in mind- REP. There was going to be no next time, it was THIS time. And on Saturday, the last few years of rejection, tears, pain and training, had been worth it for this vey one moment. When you waltzed up with sunshine beaming out of your face and said “ I made it”. I don’ t think our family has had a prouder moment and the struggle is just part of the story. Bring on the next few months of intense fundraising, ill be wearing my 57 as a very proud and slightly jealous big sissa. You’re a Champ. x. #nzrep #champion
