I always used to think it was just men and women too (assuming bi meant two so one gender and another?) and that's why pansexuality I guess developed into the umbrella version of it to include trans men and women. So you aren't alone on that thought... I guess it isn't as simple as I thought.
no but trans men and trans women ARE men and women. bisexual people (and straight people) who claim to only be attracted to cis men and women are transphobic
i thought that pansexual meant you were attracted to anyone regardless of their gender, it wasn’t formed to include trans people, because they already are men and women, they’re not their own category
