The Minnesota Vikings defeat the New York Giants on Monday Night Football to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Minnesota’s injury riddled offense gave their defense a breather in this game. The Vikings offense scored in each quarter of the game with quarterback Sam Bradford having his best game as a Viking going 26-36 for 262 yards and a touchdown to Kyle Rudolph.
Jerick McKinnon led rushers with 85 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries and also caught 3 passes for another 10 yards. Matt Asiata ran six times for six yards on the ground and two catches for 12 yards through the air and a goal line touchdown.
Charles Johnson got the long ball going in Minnesota, something that has not been a regular sight in Minnesota, catching two balls for 70 yards. Kyle Rudolph caught five passes for 55 yards and a touchdown and Stefon Diggs did not have his greatest game but caught five passes for 47 yards.
Cordarrelle Patterson and Adam Thielen were strong on special teams with Patterson making a name for himself this year on special teams punching the ball loose on punt coverage, allowing Marcus Sherels to scoop up the ball for a turnover.
In the pregame ceremonies Braulio Carrasco received the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award from Vikings Executive Vice President, Lester Bagley for his work as an organizer, most recently with Education Minnesota. Braulio and his family are pictured above.
The Vikings will prepare for their first Sunday afternoon game against the Houston Texans on Sunday, October 9, 2016.
