I’m tired of having this argument because the show spells it out with such excruciating clarity that it’s a bit unbelievable to me that his actions are still being interpreted this way, but Marcus Kane has never been the villain. He was never the one who wanted Abby dead, was never solely responsible for her husband’s death, and my god the shock-lashing thing was not about abuse.  I see the defense that “it’s about character development” a lot, and it’s a fair one that I’m thankful to see, but it doesn’t paint the whole picture - a lot of people can and do interpret that as “oh, so he was an abuser before but now he’s not so we should forgive and forget” which is incredibly uncomfortable?? Abuse is abuse is abuse and if that were genuinely the case, you know I would be on the front lines against his relationship with Abby - because forgiveness is one thing, but there’s something to be said about keeping a healthy distance from someone who’s demonstrated that behaviour. I love my girl too much to allow that shit. So. Why am I such a fan? Because he hasn’t demonstrated that behaviour. 

We never saw her dead. I have been hoping for her reappearance since season 3. OTHER ark sections made it down. Why not hers? She would be such a great villain. Or tyrant. And I imagine that Reese Lemkin would be there too. She’d now be about 18. Give us our new delinquent. 

For all we know, they’re still out there somewhere. Living in their Ark section like they were planning to do with Arkadia before Ilian blew it up. There wouldn’t be another valley to spot from air, just another survival ark. 

We know many of our customers have amazing stories about coming to the Box Sale in past years, but there may be some things that you don’t know about the busy bees that put on the show! It is our biggest event of the year and the space we use is overwhelmingly massive so there is quite a lot of teamwork that goes into building the sale.  Our staff is VERY excited about the upcoming event so we wanted to share some of our stories and tell you what we’re looking forward to the most!! 

Here’s what Katelyn is most excited about:The thing I am most excited about the Box Sale is working it. I have worked the past 3 Box Sales and I can honestly say that it is my favourite sale because the days fly by so fast and everyone is working hard and having lots of fun. It’s also exciting to see customers flying in to buy books! Sometimes they find books they didn't think they would find here; I know that I've seen some really amazing titles that I'm super anxious to get my hands on.  

Here's what Nygel enjoys best:The thing I've enjoyed most about this year's Box Sale is helping to set it up and seeing everything come together. One would think I would be used to seeing such an abundance of books any given day of the week, however, even our regular stock pales in comparison to the sheer amount of books in one place for the Box Sale. I'm really looking forward to seeing the end result, and of course, finding any titles that I want (which unfortunately is nearly all of them).
