Did you have a good time with NYCNomad?
SUCH A GOOD TIME.
We met up near to both of our offices at this great restaurant that (the way more NYC-dining-savvy) @nycnomad was kind enough to pick out for us. First of all, let me say, the food did not disappoint. We shared a couple of cocktails, lemongrass chicken wings, roasted shishito peppers, and two different pork dim sum plates. Again, so good. So tasty.
What also did not disappoint, obviously, was the company. We hit it off right away and conversation flowed easily as we chatted away about work, relationships, family, where we’re both from, how we ended up in NYC, and oh-so-much more. It also became quite evident that a double date with us + B and J will be happening at some point. Two true crime lovers and their sci-fi enthusiast husbands? It’s a match made in heaven. The only thing that will top it is when @losingitinvirginia moves to Philly and the three of us get together to, you know, cause mayhem. Still cannot wait for that.
We both agreed that we need to make this happen often, perhaps at a cheaper restaurant. 😆 Yay for new (IRL) friends and for getting out of my homebody introvert comfort zone! I truly cannot wait til next time. Oh! And thanks for taking this cute as heck selfie, too.
