Welp. 2018 can fuck right off.
For the past several years, on the day before New Year’s (or sometimes ON New Year’s) I’ve posted a fic round up of everything I’ve written for this year. so... the grand total of 2018 is.... 281,755* words!Â
Last year, I started 2018 bright eyed and fiction-ready. We-ell, okay. I tried to. I really did. I actually started 2018 with a broken heart. The Walking Dead had killed off my absolute favorite character. If I’m being honest, 2018 started off with me trying to tell myself that I was over 40 years old, and way too goddamn old to be so upset over a fictional death. Gimple, man. Fuck that guy.Â
In 2017, I had posted 48,856 words, way down from the 284,830 of 2016.Â
So, last January, I tried not to beat myself up about it, and made a New Year’s resolution to finish all my WIPS. We-eeell, that came a little short. I did almost finish two of them. so most of those 200k is me accomplishing a lot of what I wanted to. But I also took on a few fandom projects for people I just couldn’t say no to. So I this year’s resolution is to finish the three WIPS I currently have going and try really, really hard not to start any new projects.
Three fics. Â
Three different fandoms. (TWD, X-Men, and Star Trek, if you’re interested.)Â
365 days.Â
I got this.
... right?
My new years resolution is to drink more water and get a gf
I can definitely appreciate those goals! -Mod T
not my ny resolution apparently being returning to a 14+ year old blog on a dying(?) website
a day late, yet early enough
i owe myself another attempt
to try harder than my urge to give up
to spell faster than my thoughts sprint
to press “post” more often than shying away unto myself
so maybe a year, a decade
or even an eternity later
i shall be something than a mere nothing

New Year's Resolution off to a good start
Made a vegan version of Leczo as my new recipe for the week last week. It was extremely quick to make and very tasty served with some garlic bread. It's getting warm in Ireland now so I might have to stop making different soups and stews each week for this Recipe was cobbled together from two sources: https://www.letseatsmart.com/vegan-leczo-pepper-and-courgette-stew/ https://www.jadlonomia.com/przepisy/wegetarianskie-leczo/
Made a lentil chickpea stew with sun dried tomatoes that I had with garlic bread and it tasted amazing. I'm absolutely exhausted today and it took barely any chopping which was a godsend Recipe: https://www.veganricha.com/lentil-chickpea-stew/
