so uh. nuzwalk attempt #1 wiped on the trainer before the first gym leader earlier.
going to begin attempt #2 now, with more generous catching rules (these were the main issue with the first attempt):
Catch the first 2 pokemon encountered in an area (of differing species), pokemon and eggs that are given away are free. If I run into a shiny I'll ask someone on skype or steam whether or not I get to catch it.
Get one free catch after each gym victory, must be declared before the encounter (so if I run into a Gible or something without declaring that I'm using the gym catch beforehand, too bad.)
Starting off with Oshawott this time; grass is a much easier type to prepare for than fire in the early game.
