I think they still have a long way to go. I am actually angry at Daeron at this point.

So, what did we have in this chapter? Joffrey presented as an omega, and his fever lasted longer than Lucerys expected. He was obviously curious about Daeron’s reaction to his sudden heat, and I can sense a bit of proud when he learned that Daeron was influenced by his scent. Joff’s reaction isn’t much of a surprise to me, because I can tell from earlier chapters that he has developed some feeling, or at least curiosity towards Daeron. However, Daeron’s attitude in this chapter baffles me. He said to Aemond that he was afraid of himself, of the animalistic desire of his alpha and the influence Joffrey’s scent had on him. Aemond was actually acting like a good old brother here by assuring him that he was honorable enough not to make the same mistake as Aemond had (by marking Luke with dubious consent), but what was Daeron’s reaction? To suggest Joffrey wear a collar? I don't see any signs that Daeron has fallen for Joff. He referred to Joff as his promised omega, which means he sees Joff as a role, a duty, a figure, but not a person. I think he’s mixed up true feelings and sense of duty, if there were even feelings to begin with.

Honestly, their relationship agitates me😂 Joffrey’s presentation at the end of the latest chapter is obviously triggered by Daeron, so it gives me a feeling that they are destined for each other. However, I don’t think their relationship will be a smooth sailing going forward. Daeron still thinks the betrothal to be purely political, and I think he only trying to get close to Joff because, one, he thinks it’s his duty; two, he has nothing better to do since Lucerys’s focus is entirely on Aemond. I can see Joff is starting to fall for Daeron, but Daeron needs to get his head out of his butt.

Joff is obviously falling for Daeron, but Daeron is still denying😅 baby, what do you mean, “you don’t love me”? Joff kissed you! What else are you expecting?
