My goal is to make last year’s Everesting feel like a walk in the park in comparison. Do I think it’s possible? Doesn’t matter what I think. Life is about acting, moving, doing—just go for it—and evaluation comes later when results are in. I’m heading into what will likely be the hardest week of my life so far, the darkest chapter, the steepest valley, a true descent into hell. It won’t be just physically demanding—it will be mentally brutal. I’ll fight the urge to give up after the first hour on Monday when Vassfjellet is climbed at 5:30 a.m.—no matter the weather. But I will endure the whole week, whatever it takes!
