Anonymous Request: CAW: 2048/4201 (platonic or shippy) 2048 finds himself sharing a table in the liver with 4201 who is caring for a sleeping 3803 who's head is in her lap. She wants him to stay to keep anyone from bothering them and 2048 quickly finds his cool facade does not work on the blunt prodigy who has little filter to her intimidating observations. Still, she's kinder then she looks and the two find out maybe they're similar (2048 insecure about not being perfect, 4201 feeling weak under pressure).
.
.
.
After a series of hectic missions and patrols, U-2048 thought that he was long overdue for some quality time in the liver. Cells like himself didn’t have enough time for vices, but whenever he did manage to get himself some free time, he quite liked hanging around the pretty hepatocytes. After bidding his squad goodbye, 2048 quickly tracked down to the liver, his mood in high spirits as he looked forward to spending the rest of the cycle getting pampered by the famed hostesses.
As he passed through the establishment’s doors, he found himself instantly relaxing. Due to the nature of the body, he wouldn’t have been surprised if a bacterial invasion were to occur while he was off duty. Once it was quite clear that bacterial invasions weren’t on the body’s agenda for now, he slipped inside and found himself marveling at the familiar setting.
Numerous tables were filled with cells of all sorts. Chief among them were red blood cells and a few immune cells, some of whom he had worked with. Just as he was about to head to the bar, one of the red blood cells at a far off secluded corner caught his eye.
She was tall and had a face that looked like it was common for her to look either placid or scowling instead of smiling. On the table, her standard issue beret that was common for red blood cells to wear lay next to a pastry and a mug of tea. It took a couple more seconds to realize that the red blood cell that had caught his attention was the mentee of that one erythrocyte that liked to hang out around U-1146.
What was her name again? AE-3803?
She was a bright little thing, a quaint little abnormality in the body, but one that surpassed all expectations. The cell in the liver, though, was the picture perfect representation of what a red blood cell should be like.
It was such a shame that 2048 didn’t know her any better; he liked having someone to talk to if the hepatocytes were swamped by work.
As soon as he was about to avert his gaze, though, the red blood cell managed to find him. She said no words and made no gestures, but simply kept his attention with narrowed eyes and pursed lips.
Well, any company was good company.
Plus… 2048 was on amiable, if distant terms with 3803. If there was one thing that he learned from spending time with 1146, it was that getting exposed to the other side of life in the body was a good reminder why they were chosen as defenders.
(There was also the added benefit that this young lady cell was easy on the eyes).
Keeping his strides long and purposeful, 2048 tried to look carefree and welcoming as possible. The thing is, with civilian cells, you needed a gentle hand with them. Most of his coworkers often came across as too overwhelming, especially when in the throes of their receptors getting signaled by bacteria. 2048 wasn’t any better, but he knew that it was best to approach slowly and with a demeanor that didn’t scream bloodlust and single minded determination.
However, as much as 2048 expected the blood cell to demur or look abashed at his advancing presence, her stare did not waver. She looked rather bored, but she did nothing to veer him off course.
Finally, when he reached her booth, he saw that the red blood cell wasn’t on her own. With her head resting on her mentee’s lap, 3803 slept like a young cell fresh from getting differentiated in the hematopoietic strains.
“Rough day?”
Every cell had their rough days, but 2048 was sympathetic all the same. While immune cells could afford to have a semblance of a break in between missions (hectic as they were), red blood cells were on their feet and running without stopping. The only time they were ever at rest was whenever they were collecting or depositing packages.
“You could say that.” The younger red blood cell took a sip out of her mug tea with one hand while the other carefully petted the wayward curls atop 3803’s head. A quick glance at the beret that lay on the table revealed that the cell’s designation tag was NT-4201.
Huh, talk about new.
Fixing a charming smile on his face, he leaned on the booth and asked, “Would you like me to make things better?”
It wasn’t one of his finer lines, but to be frank, it was a trying day. Battles were won, yes, but the fact that bacterial invasions were a sight too common during the cold season, which rankled everyone's nerves.
“Yes.”
2048 blinked.
“W-wha—”
“You heard me. You want to make things better, I won’t object. Sit here and make yourself useful.”
Stunned and embarrassed beyond all belief, the white blood cell immediately took her suggestion and took the seat opposite her. The last time someone had the courage to talk to him like that, it was his mentor during his myelocyte days. Had she been hiding all of that spine? Or was she always that blunt?
To say that he was flabbergasted by her straight and honest response to his flirtations was an understatement.
“…and how do I make myself useful?”
4201 took another sip of her tea. “Keep the hostesses happy and away from me.” At his bewildered expression, she elaborated—albeit, a little reluctantly and with a sense of remorse. “Most of them are under the impression that my mentor is ill. She’s not,” her tone becoming slightly defensive, “and I tried telling them, but most of them are coming around like the macrophages that used to baby us back in the bone marrow. It’s annoying.”
A deterrent.
That’s what he was.
He tried another quip. “So I’m not here because of my devilish good looks?”
4201 blank stare could level entire buildings and obliterate the RNA in bacteria.
She took another sip of her tea as if to ready the next scathing reply.
“I need something to distract myself while my mentor sleeps.”
Was she…? Is he…?
For the first time since he started talking to her, 2048 dropped all pretense and simply asked. If being coy was only going to end up with him reeling with more questions than he could ever hope to answer, he would have to play it straight.
No charades.
“I don’t get it.” He leaned into the palm of his hand and peered at 4201 closely. Most cells would have quivered at his scrutiny, but she took it like she had been handed a package of carbon dioxide—with banal interest. “Are you flirting with me?”
He watched as she daintily lifted a hand to her mouth, her jaw tensing slightly before she breathed in deeply. It took a second, but then he realized that she was hiding a yawn. It would have been amusing, but now 2048 was just concerned.
Thankfully, 4201 decided to give him the same treatment. All honesty, full transparency.
“A little bit, yeah. You seemed a bit anxious, so I decided to play along for a bit.”
The neutrophil blanched. “I don’t get anxious.”
One of her eyebrows arched up near her hairline, the disbelief in her gaze all too obvious.
“Every time I’ve spoken to you in the last five minutes, you fidget and flex your fingers before answering me. Even now, you’re taking what I say and dissecting everything like you want to make every subsequent response perfect.” She brushed a finger over the rim of her mug, her gaze dropping to the contents before making eye contact with him again. “If it makes you feel any better, I don't do too well in stressful environments either.”
It was a shame that 4201 wasn’t differentiated as an immune cell. Her eyesight alone would have been a great asset. Not to mention her reasoning.
But that didn’t mean that he was going to comment on the fact that she knew that he was nervous. Hah! As if he would ever admit that there were times when he had little faith in his abilities in and out of the battlefield.
So, like any good warrior worth their salt, he decided to latch onto his opponent’s weak point and attack.
“I can’t imagine running around the body never gets any less stressful.” He shuddered just to think about it. “Don’t you guys have deadlines and quotas to fulfill?”
“Oh?” She seemed confused, as if not exactly hearing his question before collecting herself. “Those are fine. It’s when the body decides to shut down on itself that stresses me out.” She tapped her mug on its handle. “That and well… sitting here kind of stresses me out too.”
2048 had to process that.
The seemingly unflappable and serious 4201 wasn’t as strong or as resilient as he thought she was? True, he may have never interacted with her often, but he always had the sense that she had so many things under control. From the way 3803 would tell it, her mentee was the best that the body could offer. Always studious, hard working, and by the book.
“Really? You always seemed sort of… perfect to me.”
She smiled. It wasn’t as bright or as warm as any other smiles that he had seen before in his life, but it was genuine.
“I’ve been pretending to drink tea for the past thirty minutes so I won’t have to talk directly to the hostesses.”
When 2048 leaned over to glance at her cup, he saw that the porcelain only held the leftover dregs at the bottom.
He couldn’t help himself; he laughed.
“You want to know a little secret?” At her hesitant nod, he bit back a grin. “Sometimes, I’m not as perfect as I think I am.”
“Mr. Neutrophil!” Her eyes wide, she clutched a hand against her chest. “No!”
“Oh, yes.” He nodded sagely. “Dare I say that even I make a fool out of myself in front of pretty cells.”
A beat.
And they both erupted into laughter.
Later on, 3803 would awake, bleary eyed and confused with only the knowing and conspiratorial smiles to answer her questions.

CAW/AD: You know now that I think about it. 4201 would be pretty good Executioner in this verse. She'd be like Pupil almost. Someone who wants to do good but the world isn't like she thinks it is. Maybe she gets paired with 2001. She's talented as they come and is expected to replace 1146 as the up and coming prodigy and role model. But she's naive and stumbles outside her comfort zone. She ends up obsessed with catching 3803. But she also ends up having her eyes open to the truth by 3803.
Oooohhhh, that calls into question the other members of CAW. I’m guessing PO and 5100 are paired off. Perhaps DB gets paired up with someone else... hmmm...
But, honestly? 4201 would kill it as an Executioner. Not only is she practical, pragmatic, and does everything by the book, she just has that vibe that she will hold steady in every action. She doesn’t question, she simply does. I love that about her.Â
2001 and 4201?
Anon... they would be unstoppable. They would definitely halt 1146 and 3803 in their tracks. In fact, they’re so good, they are definitely one of the biggest threats there are in this universe--Cancer excluded.
Bonus, I bet their character dynamic is cute as well? I can only imagine that 2001′s this old, grandpa character who tries his best to keep 4201 safe. Meanwhile, 4201 is somewhat snarky at times and tells 2001 to “keep up, old man”. She means it jest (one of the only times she jokes). Those two are completely professionals, but they do care about each other.Â
When 1146 finally offs 2001, there will be hell to pay.Â
A Surprising Lack of Personal Space (AA-5100 x U-26262, NT-4201 x U-4989, Natural Killer Cell x Killer T Cell)
Warnings: Fluff, also Dendritic Cell is here.
Anonymous Request: Hello, bubble anon again. I would like to request another Cells at Work, but with minor fluff ships if that’s alright. All a sudden the bubble pathogens started to engulf cells at random, trapping them inside bubbles. In the chaos, one bubble traps Red Blood Cell AA5100 and White Blood Cell U-2626 together, another traps in Red Blood Cell NT4201 and White Blood Cell U-4989 in one, and another bubble traps in Killer T Cell and Natural Killer Cell. If you have to split each of them, that’s fine
.
.
.
Dendritic Cell, ever the msichievous immune cell, sipped some of his tea as he glanced down at the chaos that was unfurling below.
It had been a stereotypical day within the body. Oxygen was getting delivered in regular intervals, nutrients passed through the bloodstream, baterial invasions were quickly stopped, and his dear favorite lactibacteria were busy munching on some desserts that one of the macrophages had curated for him. However, while the body seemed to be in good shape, Dendritic Cell couldn’t help but find himself perplexed by the sight that was occurring in one of the blood vessels.
Strange organisms—bacteria? Viruses?—were milling about as if they owned the place. These strange things floated near the grounds of the vessel while others floated high into the eaves of his tree. He wasn’t quite sure what they were, but he could tell that their presence wasn’t too urgent a matter to address. To be sure, though, Dendritic Cell quickly descended from the branches of his tree and began to investigate.
On closer inspection, it appeared that these strange organisms were transparent and left only a slightly wet sensation on bare skin if he were to take his gloves off. He thought about using his whip to attack this strange, but harmless pathogen, but before he could, the immune cell heard a pair of cells arguing. Making sure to keep the transparent organism in his sight, Dendritic Cell turned around only to find that it was a neutrophil and a red blood cell were stuck inside another one of these strange pathogens!
Hoping that they weren’t hurt, the cell ran over to them, his whip in hand and a dangerous smile on his face.
“Mr. Neutrophil! Report!” Dendritic Cell proceeded to slap the transparent bubble with his whip. Other than a slight evidence of give, the organism showed no signs of popping. He sighed but focused his attention on the blood cells who were both pressing their hands against the sides of the pathogen in an attempt to stretch it. “Are you two all right?”
U-2626, the neutrophil in question, nodded his head. Aside from the slight downturn in his lips, Dendritic Cell observed that his fellow immune cell was relatively unharmed. The same could be said for the red blood cell.
“I was on patrol with U-4989, but suddenly, these strange things appeared!”
The red blood cell, AA-5100, rolled her eyes before shoving her shoulder against the sides of the bubble. Her face shone with sweat from effort, but she still managed to smile shakily at the inquiring Dendritic Cell.
“No need for special names for these weird things. Call them bubbles!”
U-2626 paused momentarily from trying to break free by gently flicking the red blood cell’s nose.
“Hey!” 5100 tried to slap him away, but only managed to lose her balance and landing roughly on top of the neutrophil’s chest.
If Dendritic Cell wasn’t paying attention, he wouldn’t have caught the slight dusting of pink that graced her pale cheeks. Unfortunately for the erythrocyte, he saw it and found it quite interesting to say the least.
Had he brought his camera with him?
A quick check confirmed that he hadn’t.
“What can I say, Miss Red Blood Cell? You’re just as cute as these bubbles!”
“Ugh!”
U-2626 chuckled, but quickly leveled his colleagues with a serious expression. “While this bubble is relatively harmless, I would check in with other inhabitants. You never know, those trapped could end up suffocating or worse.”
Nodding in affirmation, Dendritic Cell promised to come back to make sure that they were doing fine before surveying the area for more victims. Lo and behold, beside the base of his operations, he saw another bubble that housed a similar duo. This time, it was a Killer T Cell (now a Memory T Cell if he was remembering correctly) and a Natural Killer Cell. These two in particular didn’t work well together—that, he definitely remembered well.
Hoping that NK wasn’t threatening bodily harm against her colleague, Dendritic Cell quickly hurried over, careful not to accidentally get absorbed by other bubbles in the area. When he arrived at their side, he found that NK was busy trying to slash against the transparent skin while Killer T was using his fists. The whole time, both of them were arguing over which of their methods were more effective.
Wanting to throw his hat into the ring, Dendritic Cell brandished his whip (again) and slapped the bubble.
Hard.
Unfortunately, this led to these two immune cells to stop yelling at each other only for them to switch their focus on him.
“What do you think you’re doing, Dendritic Cell? I was just about almost done punching a hole!”
“Get out of my way! My katana can do more damage than your whip!”
Now, Dendritic Cell knew that these two cells were under a lot of stress considering the circumstances, but even he felt like he should be treated with a bit more respect and kindness. Without breaking a sweat, Dendritic Cell slowly held both their gazes before saying—
“Oh really? I must say it seemed that you were flirting more than you were actually making headway with escaping.”
No sooner did he say that did both the entrapped immune cells freeze up, their cheeks glowing with an unhealthy shade of red. Dendritic Cell didn’t think his words would actually have an impact, but he found himself gratified that he was able to witness such an event! Aside from when he was busy activating cells, he had never quite seen the effect of saying such embarrassing information aloud. It was quite endearing.
Ah… but it was so much better if he could have captured it on camera!
So many opportunities lost!
Before his colleagues could retaliate, Dendritic Cell tipped his hat to them and began to walk away.
“It seems that we still need to find a way to get this mess sorted out, so I’ll leave you to it while I try to find a solution.”
And Dendritic Cell whistled a jaunty tune as he went.
For the next several minutes, Dendritic Cell inquired after several other trapped cells. Some were of macrophages while others housed platelets. All were well, but there was a general sense of unease and irritation at having been kept from their duties. After sending a couple of free platelets to notify regular cells about the situation, Dendritic Cell began to head back to his base of operations so he could radio Helper T Cell and Regulatory T Cell about these strange events.
Just as he was about to enter, he heard a whoop and a holler that sounded like it was from—
“Mr. Neutrophil! You can’t just—!”
It was a young red blood cell with short black hair and a tired look in her eyes. Dendritic Cell glanced at the placard on top of her hat, taking note of her alphanumeric designation: NT-4201. Unlike most of her other comrades, this erythrocyte sat cross legged on the bottom of the bubble, her eyes wide as she took in the neutrophil that towered above her. Said neutrophil was busy eating takoyaki off of a toothpick… Were they made out of bacteria?
“Don’t worry, Miss Red Blood Cell! I’ve got this!”
And with that, the neutrophil (who was named U-4989 after Dendritic Cell took a peek at the cell’s placard) brandished his toothpick and jabbed it intoo the transparent skin of the bubble.
Surprisingly, enough—
Nothing happened.
NT-4201 slapped a palm across her forehead.
“I told you it wasn’t going to work!”
Dendritic Cell sighed before running back into his tree.
It was time for backup.

Last one. I admit I love how a ton of doujins hit my weak spot for 3803 showing a protective/sensitive streak for 4989 when he needs it (like when some non immune cells hurt his feelings) and it brings him to tears and he hugs her like she's his angel (and 1146 lurks around a little jealous/caught off guard because he's not fond of others being so clingy with her). Different topic there's a surprising amount of content of 4201 being very protective of 3803 w/1146. She's like that overprotective-
2 little sister who's watching her older sister's boyfriend like a hawk. Quite different from my 5100 would be the momma bear while 4201 would be the pragmatic one. But hey I can juggle. 5100 stays the momma bear while 4201 is accepting/supportive but throws digs at 1146 if she thinks he's messed up or isn't acting good enough for her Senpai until he makes it right. 1146 is canonly afraid of her scary face so he'd be unnerved by her ' you're so stupid step it up for 3803" dagger look.
~~~
Oooh! I love the girl RBCs being wholly supportive of 3803. 4201, I feel, should be given more notice in the fandom--and I don’t mean bashing! She looks up to 3803, even if she doesn’t really show it. I love thinking that 4201 would still be wary of immune cells as a whole, but is definitely down to throw hands with 1146 if he doesn’t treat 3803 right.
5100 is definitely in the background cheering in the background while 3803 tries her hardest not to suffer brain damage by facepalming so hard.Â
AA-5100 probably wasn't the most exemplary of red blood cells, but she completed her deliveries on time and only got lost once—and that happened when she a rookie. Nowadays, however, she merely did her best to hurry along the blood vessels, be they artery or vein. Sometimes, whenever downtime was inevitable, she would find herself slowing down and watching the lives of her fellow cells at work. And sometimes, if she were lucky, she would get to see her mentee, AE-3803.
AA-5100 won't lie.
At first, she wasn't expecting much from the younger redhead. When they were both erythroblasts, it was rumored that AE-3803 was prone to getting lost and finding trouble throughout the bone marrow. Of course, it wasn't always her fault that she got lost (some erythroblasts could be needlessly cruel despite Miss Macrophage's efforts), but AA-5100 can't deny that her feelings were colored by the time her mentor assigned her to assist AE-3803.
Like her own mentor, AA-5100 tried her utmost to be as accommodating as possible. After a few trial runs, she found that the young erythrocyte was sort of getting the hang of things, and in the spirit of "broadening her horizons", the older red blood cell let her loose.
It was equal parts disastrous and wonderful.
Disastrous: AE-3803 managed to get attacked by a bacterium three times in a span of one circuit to the lungs.
Wonderful: well, now that was something that AA-5100 still had to discover if this was true.
See, while she had reservations about her newest charge, AA-5100 couldn't deny that the young erythrocyte had grown on her. In fact, after her initial realization that 3803 was more than willing to improve herself (no matter how long it took), she had taken upon herself to be always on the lookout for her mentee. Her positive outlook on life and the trivial troubles she managed to find herself in was all part of the package of such an endearing colleague. It was no wonder that after a while, the brunette erythrocyte found herself referring to AE-3803 as one of her closest friends.
That was about the time when she realized that 3803 managed to get herself wrangled up in a friendship with an immune cell of all things. Objectively, 5100 did respect them for their work, but she wanted them as a whole to keep away from her. All of them were weirdos who were bloodthirsty, manic, and lived in the shadows like they were a bunch of heathens—seriously, who does that? However, like most things involving her beloved charge, 5100 managed to warm up to the neutrophil—albeit, a little slowly.
The brunette kept her distance; she didn't always interact with the rather reserved white blood cell and honestly, it seemed that her friend didn't expect her to...which was all well and good. He was an enigma that 5100 couldn't puzzle out.
Why was he always so kind to 3803? Why was he always willing to show her around the body? Why was he so annoyingly, obnoxiously, and irritatingly so amiable and willing to help?
There had to be a reason why he was so unfailingly nice and dare she say it, charming.
His smiles were soft and pure. His eyes, usually filled with condemnation for virus ridden cells or bacteria, were filled with...something that she couldn't—wouldn't—name. And above all else, he was always there to save the day whenever 3803 was in trouble.
Overall, it was...disconcerting.
Their relationship, whether it was innocent or not, troubled her.
NT-4201 doesn't understand her mentor.
AE-3803 was older than her, far more driven, and supposedly far more experienced. Yet, she still acted like a young erythroblast newly introduced to the idea of delivering oxygen and carbon dioxide to specific parts of the body. Her comments about the job were always interspersed with questions, as if she didn't remember her role or where she was. Shadowing her mentor during that one circuit when the body was undergoing hypovolemic shock was so embarrassing, that when NT-4201 visited her friends, she didn't want to tell them about her disastrous first circuit around the body.
And yet, the dark haired erythrocyte learned something.
She learned that even when the odds were stacked against them—no, stacked against the body—the red blood cells were still tasked to their duty. Red blood cells were created for a purpose and that purpose was to deliver oxygen. Without that supply of this precious chemical, then no one could function.
They were needed.
To even suggest otherwise would have been ludicrous.
And yet, NT-4201 found herself doing that when she had struggled to trudge throughout the blizzard in the midst of such chaos. When she felt that the body was at its end, she lost all hope. During her classes in the bone marrow, they rarely touched the topic of what to do whenever the body was under stress. They only focused on geographical locations, the importance of the deliveries, and training to be physically fast and efficient. So, when faced with the reality that the body could end up dying, NT-4201 instantly balked at the idea of continuing their work.
What use would it be in the end? It certainly wouldn't have made a difference if just one red blood cell were to handle the deliveries.
Yet, her mentor believed in the cause. She believed in their duty. But most of all, she believed in herself.
There was no reason to suspect that strangers from another land would help save the day, nothing to suggest that there could be a happy ending. Much to NT-4201's utter disbelief, AE-3803 kept going. If it were not for the acceleration of the calamities within the body, perhaps she would have gotten a lot more done.
Maybe, if AE-3803 truly believed in herself, she could have single handedly saved the body.
Ha! Imagine that, a lone red blood cell saving the body when it was an immune cell's job to do so.
Still, NT-4201 doesn't have to question the "what if's" and the "what could have been's". The ideas were endless; possibilities countless to explore. After all, due to a gigantic pipe in the sky, a god had smiled upon them all and sent a fresh wave of their brethren (though very strange and unaware of local customs) to help carry out their duties.
And after that fiasco?
NT-4201 can't say for sure that she'll ever truly consider her mentor to be a friend, or even a close acquaintance. The redhead was mildly irritating and the lack of attention to details in her surroundings were off putting. One thing, however, the dark haired erythrocyte can grant the airheaded cell is that she's very kindhearted and resolved.
Those are traits that are common among red blood cells and the normal cells, but definitely not necessary in their line of work. They're supposed to be fast and efficient. Nothing more, nothing less. Such flighty emotions and scatterbrained tendencies would have surely sent her to the spleen sooner rather than later...but..
But, AE-3803 used her weaknesses to push herself forward. She strived to do better and in return, the universe treated her well in kind. She was gifted with friends from the immune system, a determination to accomplish her task that could outshine a Killer T-Cell's, and so much more.
That's probably why NT-4201 doesn't really say much when she sees her red headed mentor hang around the strange white blood cell. It's rare to see a neutrophil and an erythrocyte talk for more than a few minutes regarding their work, rarer still to see them laughing. Obviously, from her years as an erythroblast, there were no guidelines or warnings concerning affiliations such as these. Heck, if they really wanted to, they could have befriended the myeloblasts.
Yet, AE-3803, so special and so hopeless, managed to be one of those who breached the boundaries and reached out to a neutrophil.
Perhaps NT-4201 could learn from that.
After all, AE-3803 was and still is her mentor.
DB-5963 is a veteran erythrocyte. Noticeably older than the residents of this strange new body, he doesn't mind getting a tour from a rookie erythrocyte...and her neutrophil friend. Maybe it's because he's new or maybe the body is generating friendly immune cells, but wasn't their relationship unusual? Technically, he was all right with it, but whenever he sees that strange neutrophil hanging onto AE-3803's every word, there's a sense of lazy dread.
Back in his old body, the immune cells were savage beasts who lusted after the flesh of invading bacteria. They were meant to be feared and respected, not befriended. But here he was, in another body with only a handful of his original brothers and sisters, trying to reconcile the fact that maybe…
But was it really possible for an immune cell and a red blood cell to get along so well? DB-5963 can't help but think that there's a catch somewhere. Immune cells just weren't nice, just like red blood cells weren't meant to protect. There had to be something going on behind the scenes.
Yet, the more time he spent with his new red blood cell acquaintance and her neutrophil friend, he began to feel less disturbed and a little more worried. Didn't she realize that white blood cells were supposed to kill indiscriminately when ordered? What were to happen if she were have a virus or an abnormality that was deemed unsafe?
What then?
What would the both of them do?
But it's not DB-5963's place to say anything.
Instead, he joins the rest of his blood cell brethren with their deliveries.
Maybe it's all nothing.
In the end, it was up to AE-3803 to decide if her friendship with an immune cell was either malignant or benign.
