The souls of them are pretty special, charas is red with these black....things...(idk how to call them ;-;) as you all surely know, red is determination, in this AU frisk never met anyone, she fell, met Chara, and Chara stole her soul, and frisk died. Black stands for hate, Chara corrupted frisks soul as she stole it, then she went to Sans, because he killed charas/frisks body, she corrupted his dreams, and in that his soul, very later sans drove crazy, and Chara got control over him, the killed the whole underground, but as she killed sans, it didn't work, he REFUSED to die, his soul got grey, and then he passed out, Chara knew she couldn't kill him, but she knew about the AUs and that she could kill everyone in there....with the help of sans. As he woke up she told him that he killed everyone, and that he did it alone, sans couldn't remember so he just believed it, she told him that they have to kill other AUs so that he could get his family and friends back, and he believed it.

So there a bit of story and the references etc.
