スマホアプリで注文すると、商品を載せたドローンが飛んで来て、玄関の前に着地する。あなたはドアを開けて商品を取り出し、ドローンを送り返すだけ。
そんな日の到来が近づいているのだろうか。米国カリフォルニア州に本拠を置くドローン企業、Uvionixは2017年半ばまでに小型商品のドローン宅配サービス「nSKY delivery」をスタートする予定だ。
３ドルの配達料金を払えば、半径6マイル（およそ9.7km)以内のパートナー店から商品をドローンで配達してもらうことができる。食料品や薬品、ボディケア製品、電化製品など、500gくらいまでのものならOKだ。
