The time has come again, and gone again. And will never come back. What we have lost is irrecoverable.
Except I'm reviewing an energy drink again.
Thanks to my girlfriend, GFUEL Sour Power is in my hands again. It was easily my favorite powder, I loved the sour raspberry candy taste and the sensation of Knuckles the Echidna holding me like a precious Master Emerald.
The smell is light and crisp, almost like a Canada Dry, of sparkling soda and red raspberry. And okay maybe a little hint of paper but I love paper smell.
First taste, it is maybe the best canned GFUEL I've had. The carbonation doesn't overpower the taste of anything here but the energy blend, which is a huge step up. It's definitely a mix of candy (Think hard candy, jolly rancher or bonbon) and red raspberry with a bit of a perfume note. The sour is quite pleasing, tart but not a sour blast (a disappointment for some, but I am more than happy with medium sour)
So the obvious question left is, does it compete with Sonic Adventure? The answer is, I like it better than 1 and 2 but not more than Chao Garden.
Great for me, I've been craving a yummy fruity candy.
