So once again I will march with my fellow Marchign Knights and show the community that we cannot be put down.

The program is very different from when I was in it, but I still support them 110% and I will forever bleed ‘Marching Knight Blue’. It’s just very sad.

I apologize in advance because this is going to be a rantish thing I don't usually do... So I am involved in probably one of the more intense high school marching band programs out there and it's probably the best thing I've ever gotten involved with. However recently there has been a lot if drama happening and I'm sooooo done with it. I mean, I'm a senior so I feel like I'm better than all the sophomores and freshmen out there but even some of the people in my grade are just so mean. I mean they say shit about anyone and it doesn't even matter if they're their friend or not. And then there's the people who just bitch at you for everything just because you're not following all the rules. Well let me tell all of you something, RULES ARENT ALWAYS MEANT TO BE FOLLOWED. So what if I curse on the field? It's not like god is going to strike me with lightening for saying shit on the field. I mean I get where they're coming from like it's disrespectful and stuff but it's not like I'm actually taking a shit on the field... It's just a word, not a way of life. And all of the drama happening and some people are complaining how there is a lack of discipline throughout the band... But actually the amount of discipline is perfectly fine, yeah they're aren't always people who follow the rules but, just because one person doesn't do something doesn't mean that everyone else can lack discipline too... Yeah we have a strict band program, who the hell cares? It's what makes us good. Yeah we have really long hours with really hard work, who the hell cares? Yeah we spend a lot of time together, that doesn't give a person the right to bag on everyone just because they're sick and tired of everyone. I do marching band because I love it. I love it because I love making good music. I also love people who love making music. I joined marching band because I thought i was just gonna spend more time with people who love making good music like I do. I didn't join marching band so I could be the fucking band therapist and mediator or listen to everyone's problems. I just want band to go back to everyone just making good music to cool shapes that move around on a football field. I'm sick of all the extra crap that has to go into the commitment of band now.
