Deeper into the mess

There was no picture in the middle as it should have been. His golden pendant lying there instead, its eye crossed out with the black marker. That should do- Teenager reassured himself yet another time, while he was placing the candles one after one around the Millennium Ring.
Had he any proof it’d work? Merely words from some strangers, scraps of collected information... But Ryou was confident in his choices, surely- a bit too much- He lighted the eight candles up. From what he heard. Everything was set up now. The decision was made.
/You know, it won’t get rid of me/ The familiar voice would annoyingly rumble in his skull. But Ryou wouldn’t listen. He really didn’t care about what the Spirit thought. /FINE, I don’t care, you’re stupid, whatever host!/
Sitting in front of the circle teenager felt the wraith’s heavy glare on himself. It didn’t matter. He was convinced soon it would disappear- He took out a small sheet of paper from the pocket of his jeans. The decision was made- and still, he hesitated; froze staring at the messily written incantation. It took him longer than expected to choke it out loud.
“Triangulum, entangulum- meteforis dominus ventium- meteforis venetisarium-” Words sounded clumsy on his tongue. Was he even spelling them right-
/...That’s not even how you summon Apep-/ was the last thing he heard before something writhed unpleasantly down his spine. The sensation suddenly spreading through his body, making him exhale sharply.
He groaned leaning down. His lips trembled, and before the boy even realized he spoke out the rest of the chant, as if his lips were moving on its own- “Asetnoheptus Asetnoheptus Asetnoheptus Asetnoheptus Asetnoheptus-”
