Went to the doctor & she said i was fine
But every sound that i hear makes me cry (& hurt)
It's like somebody put a weight on my chest
I should talk to a friend
But i don't want her to care💔
sending you love after reading your posts. when my ear started ringing i asked my roommate how he was able to handle it, asked online friends. they told me the usual lines: that it got better with time, that they learned to manage it, that they found good and happy life beyond it. i wasnt sure if i believed them but im starting to. i hope it gets better for you soon <3
Hi hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with me. I am trying. At least the last few days haven't been a nightmare (after reaching a very dark and desperate point on NYE). Hopefully the hyperacusis and tinnitus go away by some miracle or cure for us. Sending best wishes in this journey! 🤍
Thanks to life for giving me more reasons to end it every single day. Hopefully I'll get both the courage and desperation needed to say goodbye forever.
I actually want to get better. If only that happened, if I didn't have these ear diseases, I wouldn't be thinking about this.
Fuck Hyperacusis and tinnitus and noxacusis.
Me when the disability disables me: •`_´•
But in all seriousness, when I was climbing today there were a lot of young children, and as everyone knows, crowds and young children are very loud. So when a child decides to activate screech, my hyperacusis obviously makes that insanely painful, so I hold shut my ears and make my way out of the room as quickly as possible. Queue everyone staring but nobody doing anything. So once I am in the hallway, where it’s pretty quiet, I sit down and wait for the bad feels to go away, and I kid you not, less than two minutes later most of the kids and their parents also leave the fucking room. And it’s once again loud. One of the dads asks me if I was hurt and I respond “yeah, hyperacusis, noise hurts” and he proceeds to yell at me that it’s not their fault, and that I should really not be in there. Like Sir, I literally just left.
Maybe, if a person is obviously in pain or distress, maybe try to help before you yell at them.
Anyway, that’s the last time I climb without my earplugs in. Shame to lose another place I thought was “safe”

I’m so tired. I don’t know how much of myself I have left to give. I’m exhausted, emptied. It’s just a question of how much a human can endure.
