“i’m having a blast,” oliver spoke with a forced smile as he lifted his beer in the air. it was a lie, and an obvious one at that. "i can’t remember the last time i actually got to watch a match,” another lie, he could recall the details of every game of quidditch he’d ever watched or played in, but still harmless. it was rather obvious that the male was upset, perhaps even a little angry that he wasn’t going to be on the pitch. but he tried his best to hide it behind a wide smile and small talk- determined to not come off as a sore loser. “who are you cheering for?” he asked his companion, arching an eyebrow as he took a long sip of the beer in his hand.
“I’m not a fan of losing but..” She took a drink of her firewhiskey, “I can admit that was a good game regardless.” Pansy stated as she finished her drink. She could feel someone staring at her and it should be a common thing but that doesn’t mean that she liked it. Maybe it was the scar she had on her right cheek from the war. It wasn’t noticeable as long as people didn’t stare or maybe it was something. Regardless, her lips pressed down in a thin line but didn’t look over to see who it was, “I got something on my face or do you have a staring problem?”
open starter location: a local tavern ( take your pick! )
open event starter / the burren .
susan was, well, SUSAN WAS A BIT DRUNK. she wasn’t sure if she was even by the stands anymore, and that’s because she wasn’t, she was by the entrance, sprawled across the grass on her back, looking at the swirling sky above her. she could still hear the noise of the pitch, and it was a comfort for her, but she was more intent to watch the clouds, until she noticed them. “ excuse me, “ she said softly. “ you’re really blocking my sunlight. “
open starter for the quidditch final!
“Can you believe it? Our Ginny in the finals!” Arthur was practically incandescent, unable to sit still. “Well, I can believe it, of course. Always knew she was going to be a Quidditch player for the history books, not that I can take credit for it. But isn’t it amazing?” Arthur was painted green and gold and was wearing a definitely overpriced WEASLEY jersey over his robes.
Of course, if it weren’t for Ginny, he would have gone for the Cannons. And it would probably be a house divided nevertheless. But today, nothing could dampen his enthusiasm. Not even the ever-present, vague yet inescapable sense of impending doom. It was Quidditch time, no time for all that.
“How was your trip over? Mine was a bit of a nightmare--but that’s the Portkey Office for you.” A loud laugh and then a quick look around to make sure no colleagues were in earshot.

“palm reading?” sybill called, still sitting on a little stool outside of her tent, still trying to look MYTHIC and mysterious before a slow burning candle and a crystal ball she’d brought from home. “a reading of the cards? a gaze into the crystal ball?” there was no point lying about it, at the very least to herself : she had forseen a chance to make a QUICK buck at an event that would eventually be populated by drunk people. it wasn’t a crime. “there’s never been a better time to look to your future. you can trust me on that.”
He’s never been one to put himself in the spot light. It was always easier to blend in and be invisible. It was always the best option. Mason had left the game after the winner was announced. He was sitting at a table, waiting for his food when he saw a shadow over his table and glanced up to the familiar face. Mason took in a breath of air and then attempted his best to smile. Lately, he had a lot on his mind though. He motioned for the seat in front of him, “Feel free if you’d like?”
open starter location: near by restaurant maybe?
for @sneakscar !
alicia could be MEAN, spiteful, and she knew that. it wasn’t a side of herself that she liked, per se, but it was a manifestation of being so DAMN SURE about everything, being so stubborn in being right. being unable to see how mistakes could be made by anyone. to put it frankly, alicia was PIG-HEADED at times. marietta was one such person who brought this to the forefront – not as badly as some of the slytherins did, but regardless she was generally unsympathetic and it... it would make her feel bad about herself if she ever actually set time aside for self-reflection.
“sneak!” alicia reached out to run her hands along the forehead scar, unsure if she could truly see it there or not. she could perhaps convince herself that ‘SNEAK’ was simply an affectionate nickname from someone who... was playfully mean for affection, but it came out far more sour in her tired, semi-inebriated state. she swayed closer, angling to put her arm around the other’s shoulders. “how HAVE you been?”
