People are sharing character cards/pick-up lines for Valentine's Day and I can't help thinking that Maria's would be something horrifically inappropriate and directed precisely at Alcina, which makes it hilarious.
(Mature warning - minors should skip this one.)
Here are some silly examples:
"I'm not a virgin - thanks, by the way - but you're welcome to drink this maiden up."
"I know you have been thinking of me. Let me make those daydreams of yours come true."
"You're quite tall, but I'm sure we can make it fit... Us, I mean. Into a coffin."
"Are those your mutated tentacles or are you just happy to see me?"
"Care to turn me into a vampiric mommy? I've got the evil part nailed down already. (You're the evil)."
"Are you a dragon? Because this damsel thinks you're something out of a fairytale."
"You stole my heart, I stole your last name. We should really settle this score in bed."
"Wine, music, and an entire horde of angry villagers dead by our doorstep - shall we call it a date? I even promise to wear those garters you love."
Basically 50% cheesy flirting, 50% dirty jokes that make Alcina blush beneath all that body makeup. She knows how to retaliate, though:
"My children call you mama, so shall I call you mine?"
"Your neck must hurt from looking up at me all the time. Perhaps you should get on top."
"You look impossibly beautiful in red, so why don't we take a bloodbath together?"
"Let us make Sappho, Aphrodite, and every other muse of love envious."
"The two of us should become a cautionary tale that is too indecent for the ears of children."
"I always tend to go through things alphabetically, pet, organized as I am. So... Would you like to help me get to Z?"
"I am a creature much more horrifying than the likes of Carmilla. That said, you would make this vampire so very happy if you allowed her to bite into your breast."
"Ride me, dearest... What do you mean "where"? Up in the skies, of course. I wanted to take you flying. Although, now that you mention it, I'm tempted for us to stay in bed."
(You'd be surprised how many strap/dick jokes these two can come up with when bored.)
when you realise disobedience and novitiate aren’t getting a cinematic release in your country so you will have to wait until they leak and you won’t be able to support them financially by seeing it in a cinema but you desperately want to throw your money at it because you’re starving and need good wlw movies
Dianna Agron was shot by Billy Kidd.
Random HC for your enjoyment:
Alcina is the type of person to pick at skin, so if Maria ever gets something like a pimple or blackhead on her back, her wife will pester her like a teenager until she caves in and lets her pop it. Definitely perches up on top of her like a cat while Maria lays on her stomach in order to do it, and will throw in a general mole check for free ever since she found out skin cancer is a thing (the fact that Maria hasn't gotten any new ones in the past 60 years because the sun now burns is irrelevant). It goes with her "obsessing over details in her appearance as well as that of her family" thing.
On a less gruesome note, Alcina also has a habit of doodling when bored. Leave her in a room with a pen, spare time, and a naked napping wife on the bed and Maria will wake up mid-way through with an elaborate temporary tattoo that goes from the nape of her neck down to her ankles. Sometimes she signs her artwork on the buttcheek for the humorous effect of it, and there was one evening where she drew a little bat on both their thumbs so they could make them kiss by pressing the pads of their fingers together.
(And, as they are horrible people regardless of their adorable moments, you can also picture Alcina drawing on her victims' skins with the tips of her claws. It gets those maidens screaming alright, and the rest of the family loves to watch.)

Does Novitiate!Alcina make all the same pouty dramatic faces canon!Alcina does? Because I feel like maria would definitely tease her pouts.
A defining trait of Alcina across all parallel universes is her ability to pout... So hell yes she does, and you can bet Maria pokes fun at her all the time for it.
There's the classic "Hey! Don't you dare pout at me!!" mid-fight before Maria inevitably gives in.
The begrudging "Fuck... Oh, fine, you big sap. But just because I can't say no when you look at me like that" when Alcina proposes something a bit eccentric and puts her pout to good use to convince her wife to go along with it.
And, the pièce-de-résistance, the pinching of the cheeks with accompanying kiss to her nose when Alcina is mad, so very mad, and she sits down to sulk after destroying two vases and a coffee table, and Maria approaches to soothe her but can't help but to have some fun with her adorableness.
So she holds her cheeks between her palms, rubs their noses together, and goes "You look like a little pufferfish, my dear".
"Do not push me."
"Of course not". She gives her a gentle kiss. "There. Better, oh feared Countess?"
And you know Alcina is still pouting, because she is now both angry and a bit embarrassed, but Maria slides onto her lap, throws her arms over her shoulders, and rubs the nape of her neck until she goes "Yes. Considerably".
Randomly thought of Eva and Rose being sent on a mission to a roadside small town, getting stuck for a few hours due to complications with their escorts, and Rose being the one to introduce Eva to such a thing as a convenience store.
Can you imagine the combined spawn of a crow goddess and two vampiric countesses being presented with such a thing as coffee in a can and powdered industrial donuts? The poor clerk who rang them up would be 100% convinced that an alien had just walked into their store and bickered wildly with this random girl from Texas.
Not sure if you've answered this one before, but how do the Dimitrescus feel about world politics? Not current ones to us per se, but the ones current to them. Do they care about wars and the such outside of wine sales? Do they harbor any fear towards nuclear warfare? I'm curious.
The extent of their concerns generally lies on what could directly impact them.
One important thing to remember is that Alcina has been living inside Miranda's isolated bubble for over four centuries, which means that even though she is the money-maker of the cult and arguably the one with the greatest connections to the outside world (save for Miranda herself, of course), there has long been a barrier between her and what goes on outside the village. Take the two world wars, for example. They were horrid for business, and it became even more difficult for her to import her luxury goods and export the specialty wines she did manage to sell due to border control, but at the same time it is not like Miranda demands that she pay taxes or something of the sort, and with how her servants are all enslaved and the family feeds on human flesh, they do not need money to get by - which means that her solution to external conflict was to just stay at home while it was happening and relying on the fact that the village is both isolated and self-sufficient enough for it to survive whatever happens in the outside. Will she be upset that she cannot order more lipstick from that one boutique in Rome once her current stock runs out? Yes. But so long as the bulk of her routine is left unchanged, she won't lose sleep over it.
Their age is also another contributing factor. As far as Alcina and the girls know, mortal politics are constantly in an upheaval and war is the only certitude. They have lived through so much already that all these little historical tidbits just blend into each other, and unfortunately this creates both a sense of nonchalance as well as this loop of ignorance in terms of how global society functions at present. They could not care less about which president gets elected in X and what law has been passed in Y, to the point that when Maria talked about her own experiences in WW2 and the consequent impact of the Cold War, they probably thought she was exagerating for the sake of storytelling. Such a Heisenberg way of seeing things - idiots running about with all those flying death machines and whatnot, rather than proper duels like the old days. It doesn't help that men are usually the ones calling the shots for these things. As such, Maria is a bit of an oddball in the family for actually bothering to read the papers beyond stock prices and articles on blood cults in Eastern Europe, because she is the only one who has memories of what modern conflict can look like and how easily one's life can be disturbed by it.
Immortality certainly messes with their perception of things as well. So long as they can still live in luxury and have access to enough livestock to keep them placated, aliens could probably swap out a third of humanity for sentient roombas and Alcina would be the last to notice. They were all going to be dead in 70 years, anyways, and then a new set would come in and repeat the same mistakes for the twentieth time. Nobody knows that history repeats itself more than a vampire. But that makes it predictable, and so they can take measures to keep themselves untouched by it.
And they are huge hypocrites, too, because we all know Alcina was ecstatic when she realized that she could now list both herself and Maria as mothers to the girls when filling out their fake documents, and that their marriage/union is recognized in most places they visit, or how she no longer has to make up a male persona attorney to open a bank account or purchase a property, and even that people will stop them in the streets the rare times they are out to gush about how cute a baby Eva is and ask if she was born through the Blue Umbrella fertility program (yikes), because apparently she looks "just like them". Being detached from the bad side of politics means she is apathetic to what good there is, too, and it slowly alienates them as a family.
