#ThrowbackThursday: old writing β . I wrote A LOT as a child and as a teenager, not that I ever finished most of it π . In the foreground is the first novel I attempted, when I was about 11 or 12. It was about magic, a quest, creatures that were evil for the sake of being evil, and there was a wise dragon (who was aptly named Wise Dragon) thrown in there too. I spent HOURS illustrating a fantasy map for it that I have now unfortunately lost π . Before that, I often never got past the point of imagining (and illustrating, badly) the characters and their world. Occasionally I would write maybe the first page or two of story, but usually no further. I thought about including some of these in the picture but tbh they would've ruined the aesthetic with their awful handwriting π . The pages open in the background include another novel I attempted (when I was maybe 12 or 13, and whose characters have been incorporated into my current novel-in-progress!), some notes for revisions for the 1st first draft I ever finished (during NaNoWriMo 2010, when I was 14), and a family saga I started when I was maybe 15. These are thrown in with other unfinished stories that I completely forgot existed until now π . #fantasywriter #oldwriting #oldwritings #amwriting #amwritingfantasy #writingfantasy #writingfiction #fictionwriting #novelwriting #novelediting #novelinprogress #wip #writer #fictionwriter #aspiringauthor #writerslife #writingcommunity #writerscommunity #notebook #notebooks #handwriting #handwritten
