why is samus in a sports bra sexist exactly? The outfits are canon, were designed and pushed to deadline by a woman, and look way more comfortable and suitable for battle than the ballgowns the rest of the female SSB characters fight in. Not sexual at all. Also Shulk gets to be pretty much naked so clearly it's not cause she's a girl. Not agreeing or disagreeing with any other points made, I just thought this was a strange thing to bring up.
this is true. though while they are canon, the original art depicting her in more revealing outfits were a reward for beating the games (Zero Mission and Fusion) at certain percentages of completion, so the origins of the outfits could be argued that they're a bit fanservicey. but like I said I do like that she has the outfits in Smash 4 because it's a neat little reference to said games.
Nintendo has been getting really good about this kind of stuff lately and I'm pretty happy about that. there are definitely way worse things being done by way worse companies out there, and those should really be focused on first.
