Not yet, please||Sophan
Sophia got to work at 7 a.m. She had her cup of coffee and started working. She took her lunch and ate. Around 4 p.m. she started to feel some discomfort. Sophia ignored it and continued working. When about an hour later she felt like she was having Braxton Hicks contractions. An emergency had just came in and she was helping. Dr. Peterson noticed she wasn’t doing so well. He asked her what was wrong. She told him she was having Braxton Hicks. He said, “You can’t work until that stops. Go sit down, Anderson.” Sophia didn’t fight him on it because she really was feeling awful. She walked to the closest on-call room and sat down. She had her head in her hands and decided she should probably call him. She picked up her phone from her back pocket and texted him: Nate, i’m having Braxton Hicks contractions. Can you come sit with me please. I’m in the on-call room on the ground floor by the nurses station. Sophia then dropped her phone on the bed. She waited for Nate and kept her face in her hands.
