It was definitely not just a scratch, she knew that. The woman opposite her knew that, but old habits are hard to break.
Yelena’s body seemed numb to everything but the searing fire emanating from her thigh. She’d had worse. Could definitely muster up enough to force out a laugh, wave off the stranger and handle it once she got somewhere safe. But she was tired, and it would be all to easy to just give in and let someone help at least stitch it up.Â

“Well... That’s a start at the very least.” The young girl’s brow furrows as America becomes unsure whether to drop her fists or not, does that mean that the witch still wants to kill her? She really really hoped not, the last thing she wanted was to be turned into a bloody smear on the ground by this woman. “I’m still going to deck you though.” At least she would try to go out swinging, better than showing just how scared she was.Â
