Raizel was used to city life by now. So, he kept telling himself. There was not much to say about how different this city would be in consideration to his new home. This one, with all its strange inhabitants, surely would present its own challenges. At the very least, he had mastered doors without the need for using his powers.
Still, he did not know where it was he was going. The city was just as much a labyrinth as his own backyard always was. He wished Frankenstein were there. He would know which direction he needed to go for this new homestead. Instead, he kept turning corner after corner, sometimes spending an hour or more walking in circles around the same block.
After a good amount of hours, Raizel sighed. The sun had already risen and he was no where closer to his destination. In fact, he was almost positive he was somehow further away from the apartment complex. How embarrassing for who he was. Perhaps he should ask someone?
He looked down at the piece of paper with his assignment written on it. His grip tightened just a little, giving the edges a small crease. He swallowed at the idea of asking someone who had not already approached him first--like the children.
Raizel looked back up, scanning the crowd. He saw someone he thought seemed quite amicable. Perhaps she could direct him to where he needed to go. This was something he was not prepared to do in the slightest, but he must. If it meant the possibility of finding his rooms, he must ask.
The Noblesse walked up to the young woman. âExcuse me,â he said, his voice quiet amidst the noise of the area. He presented his housing assignment: Apartment J-4. âMay I ask for directions?â
