Watching this person walk in his direction - he can’t help but be intrigued by all the flash and glimmer that came from their head as it bounced between steps. Something about it didn’t seem quite natural. What exactly was this? What was in their hair? Were they even human? He hasn’t come across a creature that had hair like this, it almost looked like a crystal of sorts. Was it perhaps a new human fashion trend? Maybe. A very strange one at that. He only decides to ask a question now, after analyzing their hair for far too long. 

Even after being in this city for quite a while, there were still plenty of places Shuichi didn’t know too well in Radiale. The place he was looking for? He was looking for the place of the Eternal Cherry Blossoms in the Cotes Ward. It caught his interest for quite a while, however, he wasn’t exactly sure what would be the best way to get to there. Looking around, he notices a man walk in his direction. Shuichi opened his mouth in an attempt to ask the man, but he notes the man doesn’t seem to quite notice him, so with a gentle tap of the man’s shoulder Shuichi asks:  “Do you know the quickest way to get to the Cotes Ward?”

✯ The process is repeated a couple times, each time Maya moving swiftly before the other party has enough time to question the decision. She even tries doing some of the task pertaining to the line position she came to occupy, as to keep with appearances. Not that there’s any properly defined task for any of the workers here to begin with.

✯ Their goal was very close now. By Maya’s mental calculations, it should only take two more workers being convinced for them to get to the door for the remainder of the factory. She goes repeat the same spiel she’s said to the others, the script being carried flawlessly-

✯ “No.”

✯ “….What?” She asks beffudled. “But, those were management orders-”

✯ “Management just put me here. Lie better.”

✯ Uh oh.

Hikaru went to a fridge on where to gather drinks after eating. It was turned off that whatever beverage inside, has a chance of cold ones remained which is mostly not anymore due to temperature. Some of them were carbonated, some of them were juice but water seems to work.

“These might do.” She grabbed two bottles of mineral water to re-hydrate themselves from all their ventures. “Here you go.” Giving one to Shuichi so he can drink after eat too, then back to where she sat on.

“It seems that i haven’t introduced myself back there. I’m Hikaru Shidou, fourteen years old, eighth grade.” As Hikaru doesn’t want to miss the chance to know him, as she introduced herself.

“Yeah, people always tend to think of me as an elementary student or something.”

“Thank you,” He bows his head gently as he grabs the water bottle that was handed him, turning the cap he opens it up and gets a quick sip out of it.  Shuichi listens to the other talk and introduce herself, however, he almost spat out his drink when the girl said she was fourteen! ...She couldn’t be, could she? To him, she looked twelve. But one thing was for certain, no matter what, she was around middle school age. He gulps down his water before he could spit out his drink, then asks. 

“Excuse us.” She nods to his idea as she opens it and closed it carefully to reduce the undead alertness through sounds. One loud slam and it will swarm on their position which she averted it. Shuicihi also follows her.

“I wonder which one tastes good during this mess.” Hikaru carefully examined the ones not opened which was mostly sandwiches and flavor-filled bread that shares the similarity of a melon bread from their world. “Here, you can eat this one.” She’s not actually picky and not even selfish so she gives him the sandwich while taking the flavor-filled bread. Who knows whats inside the bread through its fillings.

As the undead were actually lesser to none, this is a good time for them to take a rest. She’ll be the lookout.

“Might as well take a seat on the floor while resting. We’ve been aimlessly running around them after all.” The counter behind might be a good resting place that she started eating her bread. Hungry? Pick another.

Hikaru made her move along with the red-haired man wielding a thorned rose whip towards to the establishment located southeast. Endurance is all good but what about hunger? You can’t survive when you’re very hungry. Her wooden sword was holding the grip tightly.

The surprises await for them will dealt later. Food expiration can be a problem too hence it can cause unpleasant things to the stomach when digested. “Urgh.” While advancing, a few zombies were after them but luckily, they’re slow and one were crawling due to missing limbs. Time is essential for their situation here as she checked the door and it wasn’t budged nor broken means it’s not locked.

“Door’s not locked! We can take a few here and use the back door and find any alternates!” 

Shuichi was about to attack them himself until he realized that it would be futile, that, and a waste of his energy too.  He takes a few glances, making sure that they don’t get too close. But noting their pace, it seemed to be safe. Phew! He makes a quick sigh of relief. Then he watches as the girl checks the door. So far so good, maybe they could try walking in through there? It’d be good to check every nook and cranny too, both for food and a quick escape route alike in case any zombies may be lurking inside.

✯ “Yeah, exactly! All we have to do is to assure that the next one won’t hear us talking to the previous one. That way, they should be unable to put two and two together.” Maya grins. What a couple of geniuses they are~.

✯ So, she moves to start the operation. Leaving her pile of stuff on the line, she moves to a worker a couple positions ahead, poking them. She gives the half baked explanation and they seem to swallow it well. Her being fast to take the post before they can process the situation further certainly helped.

✯ She thumbs up to Kurama. It’s his turn now!

“So far, so good.” Reached through the southern side of the alley, Hikaru looked left and right to see any suspicious beings around. “Hm, there’s a store nearby.” Noticed a store banner with a bread logo on its left, Who really knows than to find it out themselves. Located southeast is their next point of direction.

Luck was barely on their side as there was a store where they might sell bread or anything edible but it was not too far. Both have to keep their eyes peeled. Yep, still calm, still calm. This was barely having a bad feeling about this.

Throwing a rock or something may gain attention from the zombies. If there was one that can run, they’ll be damned right away.

“Let’s go check that store if we can find something interesting. It’s on southeast on where we standing.”

Shuichi turns his gaze towards the store up in front of them. The sign did seem quite vague and he wasn’t sure just what they sold aside from bread. But he was srtill going to show some optimism in this, maybe it wasn’t a trap but it could be the real thing. After all, it was best to look and see for themselves, wasn’t it? Besides, if worst comes to the worst, Shuichi could maybe attempt to use his rose whip again. He believed he had enough power to summon it again.

  Gon could easily tell how embarrassed the man became over this mistake, and while he was disappointed by the truth of the misunderstanding ( how greatly he wished to know even more about Ging! ), he could not remain disheartened for more than a heartbeat, especially when considering how the other currently felt and him having been partially responsible for it. 

‘ It’s okay. I’m a little sad you don’t know Ging, but it’s not a big deal that you don’t. ’ His bright smile then returns.

‘ Besides, I can tell how much you like Yusuke. He seems like an amazing person, just like Ging! ’

“Well, maybe one day I could be able to meet him myself if he ever does show up.” Even if his misconceptions were wrong, he was still curious about this Ging person. By the sounds of it, he seemed pretty similar to Yusuke. A part of him couldn’t help but wonder; would they look alike too? No. That’s a ridiculous assumption. With a smile on his face, he replies to the kid.

  Being someone with emotional intelligence slightly more attuned than the average person, he could well discern the strange way this man processed every little bit of information, even down to Gon’s name, and the way he appeared somewhat distressed by it – but despite recognizing such a detail, the hunter chose not to inquire of it, merely letting his hand fall as he kept a smile on his face in anticipation of the information his question would beget, seemingly worried little about Ging not being in this place with them. Gon knew that his father was busy preparing for his next mission – he did not have time to waste trapped here! ‘ Yeah, I guess he wouldn’t be. He wouldn’t let himself be trapped in a place like this. ’

When the man began to speak how he met Ging, Gon hung onto every word of the story, even noticing the glimmer of fondness as the other spoke, but he found himself confused by the presence of that name again– ‘ Yusuke? ’ A hand raised to absently scratch at his chin as he attempted to find the problem in his understanding ( to little avail ).

‘ Ummm… ’ Where to start! Is it possible they spoke not of the same person? But the other had clearly said father – perhaps Ging had gone undercover at some point–? ‘ I’m confused, mister. My dad’s name is Ging, not Yusuke. ’

“...” Oh wow, was this awkward! He was more than certain this was Yusuke’s kid, but it turns out his father was actually a.. Ging? Shuichi silently wished he didn’t have that slip up just a few seconds ago, because it only made things extremely embarrassing. Usually Shuichi was a man of wit and knowledge, but for once, it turns out he was wrong. That, and very far off. ...How was he going to fix this awkward moment?

“Let’s go then!” Hikaru’s wooden sword’s blood was wiped and ready to be used once again. Good thing she picked the southern direction to reduce any kinds of random encounters from any dark entity. 

Anything works matter as long as the one she’s looking for has good durability for not letting anyone of the undead break in. Both are now moving in and possibly hit anyone standing their way.

“We can endure this.”

✯ “What part of ‘the line isn’t supposed to move’ you didn’t hear? In a production line, what moves is the product being made, not the people!” Maya, please speak a bit lower. You are attracting more attention now.

✯ Still, Kurama’s observation was interesting. Perhaps they could cut the line… somehow. “Maybe… If we talked to them gently about superior orders having ordered us to shift our positions at the line? Would they be able to comprehend that?”

✯ And was that a practice common enough here that the workers wouldn’t find strange to begin with? There are too many variables to take into account, but Maya has no time to think through them all. “How about it?”
