Where: Ministry, New years eve party
Who: @not-sirius
In truth, Andromeda had been hoping to Merlin himself to avoid as many family members as physically possible. The misguided eyes of others she was well adapted to dealing with. Eyes that judged her without a word exchanged for being tied to a family who caused nothing but callous devastation. An expression she was sadly used to seeing written on too many’s faces when they caught a glimmer of her reflection and saw nothing but the family of Black staring back at them. Unpleasent, yet still she could musty the strength to ignore it like she had for so many years. What she knew would be a challenge however, was seeing those that she once called family. Especially when words or even a glance hadn’t been exchanged with most of them since that fateful night she was blasted from the wall and discarded like merely a broken object rather than a cousin, a sister, a daughter. If only one thing Dromeda knew for certain, was that for Edward? She’d do it again ten fold.Â
Sipping from her champagne flute, the witch was content observing those dancing freely that was until a familiar shadow lured by her side. “Regulus-“ She greeted with tight features. “It’s good to see you in full health.” And truly, Andromeda meant that full heartedly. Considering the last time that she saw him he was close to death itself and asking for her help, despite their differences and alliances, it didn’t stop the misplaced care she still held for alot of her family; Regulus included. “Here representing the Black family I presume?” With only three of them still holding the black surname and two of the three banished Andromeda knew first hand his choices were limited. However, that didn’t negate the fact that everyone as challenging as it may be; had a choice. And his previously or should she say current affiliation had caused both herself and new family nothing but pain, heartache and lost time.Â
After a beat, the witch couldn’t refrain herself from asking. “Is Narcissa here?” Truly while her sister was one of the last people Dromeda wished to exchange words with that evening, her curiosity still couldn’t help but wish to glance a glimpse of her. Despite forgiveness that could never come from her, if she wasn’t here; well in truth it would ease Andromeda’s nerve. The less family members she had to confront this evening the better for it.Â
