spinel didn’t know what she was hearing as the filmy image flickered away, leaving her in darkness once more. her diamond, gone﹒﹒﹒﹖and in her place, this stranger who was supposed to be picking her up. taking her away from the once lush and beautiful sanctuary that she and pink previously shared.

how did everything go so wrong﹖

〝 Why didn’t you trust me﹖〞soft voice lilts, an echo on the passing breeze. a resounding silence is all that answers spinel before she whimpers out one last question.

〝 Why didn’t you take me with you﹖〞

“𝐼𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓅𝑒𝓃𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓉 𝓉𝑜𝑔𝑒𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇... 𝒴𝑜𝓊 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼.”

Opal watched the other fusion land and split, following suit soon after as Amethyst grinned from ear to ear as she turned... 

Before stopping when the hybrid gem was still huddled over himself on the stage.

“Yo, Steve-O. Ya... ya doin’ alright there?” 

She didn’t really think asking was appropriate. He looked truly terrible. Exhausted and hurt. Maybe that fusion idea was bad after all. She crouched down now, trying to turn his head so he looked at her. 

“...Look at you go...”

The gem whispered, staring up at the beach house. Things were so different, yet it feels like she never left all the same. Still, she had come for a reason. Rose was going to do this, even if she craved just running away again.

Stairs gently creaked under the large gem’s weight, advancing sheepishly up each step until she arrived at the balcony and in front of the door. 

This was a bad idea... Maybe she should just go...

Still, she raised a hand to knock on the door-- only to yip gently in surprise when it swung open before she got the chance to decide whether or not to go through with it. 

Too late now.

i think the crew tried playing her as both at once and people take sides as shes either cursed and a diamond or just a uwu baby
