truthfully, the last few days had been a bit challenging. most of the usual comforts just weren’t doing it, lizzie knew that a good way to keep her mind on something else was to go and see mg. more than that, she hadn’t really seen him since the merge happened with spending time with josie, her mom and aunt bonnie coming back into town. maybe they could watch avengers or just sit and read comics.. though literally not a single soul aside from him knew she liked that. the blonde came with an arsenal of snacks on a large tray, thankfully the kitchen staff loaded her up and also she grabbed a bag of animal blood from the fridge for mg just in case. “hands are full so i can’t exactly knock.. but open up, its me.” she said, standing outside of his room.

it was strange, usually before she was going on a date with someone she would be a little nervous. but today that wasn’t the case, instead she felt calm, excited and ready. but it wasn’t something that worried her, she thought it had to do with how comfortable she already felt around him. lizzie glanced over herself in the mirror as she fastened a set of studded earrings into her ears as she let her hands slide over the edges to smooth the outfit she had chosen. “you are so going to rock that carnival.” she told herself, adding a spritz of perfume before she grabbed her backpack, doing one last view of herself before disappearing of her room and to the sitting area to wait for mg, striking up conversation with another of the students in the mean time.

“uh- i haven’t read anything published in the last 20 years that’s for sure.” in truth even 20 years ago he hadn’t been able to afford enough comics to really know anything about them. the closet he came to being an expert was the spider-man movies that had come out when he was 11. he had snuck into the film over and over until he had been kicked out of the theater. but blending in meant enough white lies that his real colors would stay muddled. “spider-man mostly you know.”
