Lee looked up at you from his paper and tried not to smirk. You were sat next to him, completely zoned out, staring out the window at the cloudless sky. He’d gotten used to it by now. Early on, he thought you were ignoring him, but he soon learnt that the glassy sheen over your eyes came from your mind being elsewhere. He turned back to his paper but his hand moved to rest on your knee. You didn’t even flinch, your mind on some desert island, sipping pina colada’s out of a coconut, or more likely fantasising about doing jello shots off his stomach.  His fingers swirled around your knee, trying to bring you back to earth, if not the kitchen.

Your mind was still walking along a beach somewhere when his fingers traced up your thigh and along the edge of your shorts. He smiled as he looked at you again. You were still a million miles away, dreaming of some snow-covered castle far away. You let out a small laugh and smiled as his palm ran up and down your leg, your mind conjuring up some fantasy of the future. When he began to trace up the sensitive skin of your inner thigh, you sighed a little, your mind drifting to when you had made love the night before. He grinned as your thighs squeezed together.

His fingers slipped under the edge of your shorts, quickly seeking out your centre. You squealed, your imagination shutting down and your mind coming back to earth with a thump. You grabbed Lee’s wrist before he could work his hand into your underwear. “Welcome back,” he said, laughing and kissing you. “What?” “You’ve been out of it for a good twenty minutes,” he chuckled, “Your coffee will be going cold.” You looked down, blinking at your magazine and latte. “Oh,” you said, “I didn’t realise.” Lee laughed again and kissed your cheek. “And that is why I love you,” he said.

We have about a little over a week more to go before Lee turns 36, and LPFN is still collecting video/photo submissions to put together for Lee’s birthday. Below are some guidelines for your submission:

● The videos you make have to be 10 - 30 seconds long, in avi/mp4/mpeg format. If you don’t want to record a video, you can send in a photo instead. Please make sure the image is in jpeg/png. ● The messages you record (aside from birthday wishes) can be about how his work impacted you, the reason you appreciate him, a poem or a song in your native language (though make sure to include a translation in English in the email if the message is in another language). ● Keep the messages respectful. ● Please include where you’re from. ● If you’re up for something different, you can shoot in front of a landmark in your city/town. Feel free to do anything that will help showcase how far and wide his work has impacted people from all over the world. ● If the file is too big, please upload it onto dropbox or google drive and send the link via email.

You have to send your videos and/or photos by 20th March 2015 latest. Send them to [email protected] with the email subject ‘Birthday Message’.
